It's a game, dude. It's not even a REAL game, it's a pixelated version of another game. Don't pretend there is some sacred code where every owner has to play with the utmost integrity, or the whole game is ruined for everybody else.

There's a lot more to owning a team than just winning games, and if one team doesn't want to win a game but the other one does, what's the harm in one team losing on purpose?

I can safely say that my team WILL NOT throw a game, for any reason!! We play to win, and even if I personally don't want to be promoted to AA level, I owe it to every guy that signed with my team to try and get them the trophy to go in their profiles. We can be demoted just as easily as promoted, so if we are not ready for the next level, then we can come back and re-load!

While this isnt real it still real in the fact that you own you run a team of players for one thing The Title and if we get there i got no plans to throw a game just to stay down in A League cause if you got the shot at a title and throw it whats the chances of you getting back

the people that think they will contend every season are just nuts even though you like to think you got a shot its all about luck and doing what the other team isnt

Nut up!! If you are good enough to make it to semis, you must be good at recruiting, so boost early and fill your holes if you promote. Don't roll over and piss yourself.

LOL....Has anyone PM'd either Bort/Thorn/DD and actually asked. Will Canadian A leagues teams be promoted this season?

I am sure someone has...have you got an answer yet?

Sent message to support last Thursday...no answer.

No throwing of the game for the Red Deer A#8 squad. Of course, we have to beat some pretty competitive teams to get there which means we prolly won't even have the chance to play in the semis let alone throw the game just so we could eat cupcakes all next season.

Hopefully there is no promotion, the level cap would make it really unfair for a team to try and compete at the next level.

We won't throw this game, but hopefully Bort looks into it and finds its a death sentence for any team that gets promoted.

We did, they said that the plan is to promote, but if we don't want to be, to bring it up on the forums. IE: It seemed the decision is not set in stone.

I'm not owner or GM for Ajax, but I know if I was I wouldn't even think of throwing a game regardless of whether or not I'd end up 0-16 the following season due to being bumped up. While losing 16 games would take a HUGE toll on your players' morale, it would be interesting to see if a good game planner could still win a few when outmatched by several levels. I know that game planning makes all the difference when you are within 2 to 3 level average of your opponent.

In GLB it takes too much work to win a league. Take the W's while you can get them. We're playing for keeps all the way.

no throwing of any games, but promotion is the wrong thing to do right now, give Can A a full season first!

Dont approve of throwing games but the challenge of promotion is great indeed.
