The tokens for the single game boost is kind of a dumb thing in my opinion.

In real life a player can't do anything to do that. A guy can be psyched up before a game and come out and play well or come out and play like garbage. It's not some universal thing that just because he's hyped up for a game he plays well. He may be so hyped up he makes mistakes.

If anything there should be a random chance for a couple of guys on each team to randomly have really good games every single game.

That's alot closer to life and the coding for that would make it alot closer to what yall are doing with this RPG roots stuff since it's more like that in that random rolls determine who's hot instead of a whole team possibly saving them all up for one game and using them at once.

That kind of defeats the whole idea if a whole team can play much better in a single game. You might have a good amount of guys who do that but never have a whole team.

Then if it's not different... why change it?

The "no pay players" stuff will be turned on at start of season.

People need to stop posting questions about injuries. PLAYERS DO NOT MISS GAMES BECAUSE OF INJURIES. BORT SAID THAT. It is a temporary attribute/energy penalty. Man, now I know why Bort never has time to improve the game is because so many people ask stupid questions and complain about stupid things.

The issue is not what's the difference between adding +1 to gloves and buying gloves that that are +1. No one really thinks that's a problem or any different.

The problem is what happens with ALREADY EXISTING equipment. I haven't seen anything in his posts or responses (granted this thread is 42 pages long and I might have missed it) that addresses how these new pieces of equipment will interact with existing pieces of equipment. THAT is what concerns high level players, especially those that may have already reached 32 and had owners spend $800k on their equipment.

Bort stated earlier (i went through all the pages, only reading what Bort posted) that the new equipment will use the same equipment slots as the old equipment. Meaning if you get "catching gloves" (new equipment) you will have to remove your old gloves and equip the new ones.

So if I have gloves that are +2 strength/blocking and I want to get a pair of gloves that have +3 strength and +2 blocking I have to hit refresh on the store over and over instead of just using a drop down. Please someone tell me this is not what is going to happen.

Any change to how trophies are given out or are we still leaving it up to luck in which conference has the most gutted teams?

I thought this game was for people who liked football. If Europeans who know nothing about football want to play and win, they should learn the rules of football.

I'm okay with the changes but I'm saddened that the emphasis is on the RPG 'one game boost' items and not the ability to play call. I think that people with football knowledge should be able to actually create plays (to an extent) so that a grown-man with play calling know-how can outplay a 14-year old kid that has players with tons of boosting items.

But you guys do understand that there are NOT enough FOOTBALL guys that PLAY ONLINE GAMES to keep the game afloat right ? I'm ALL for the football stuff and can do a little , not as intricate as some on here but you can bet that MOST people playing this game are just gamers that LIKE football.

That's very true. Plenty of Europeans on here didn't even know the rules of football before they started. So...that means it shouldn't be a fun game for them?

50 pages... hmmm... I vote for the thread to be locked, at least for the rest of the night.

I'm not talking about zone blocking, veers, or any other intricate stuff... You mean that "I would like to run to the left out of a Weak I formation" is going to confuse the casual gamer? Or "I want my WRs to run slants to pick apart the underneath coverage?"

If a GM has his ROLB blitzing 90% of the time I'd love to be able to take advantage of that, not just hope that the sim doesn't randomly assign me a play that will leave the ROLB open to blow the play up.

What about the guys who aren't GM's or owners and don't do strategy (note: I do tactics all the time)? He added stuff for the player-only agents. Do you get that? They don't even have the access to decide to run left or right. But they need something to enhance their experience.

They were commenting on one aspect of what I said. I also think we should be able to substitute based on situations so we could sub in a specific 3rd down back, certain LBs on 3rd and long, etc. The "player-only agent" that is the back-up on a team would actually get playing time, so I think that'd make them happy. At no point did I say "Gee, Bort, these rules changes are all stupid and I hate them," I like the changes. I just don't like how I basically have zero input on what my team actually runs offensively. If I input "WR Long Pass" I line up in a 3 or 5 WR set, meaning that every single team knows I am going to pass and switches, by default, to a pass defense. That keeps you player-only agents from getting TD passes which keeps you from getting trophies to amass fame. Make sense?

I hope we can still just pay a crap load of money and use the old equipment. I know hoe I want to build my player and I do not want to play craps for his equipment.
Maybe I have this all wrong. Unless there is some official clarification, I will just have to wait and hope.

Uh, I'm an owner and a GM and do tactics all the time. I just see beyond my own nose.
