Just allow players to select which two stats they want to train, or create something for every combo, who really cares how "realistic" or what specifically each combination is called.

As is, it seems like the players who were fortunate enough to keep a couple of stats low, the two stats that just-so-happen to fit within the current confined structure of intense training, gain a pretty significant character progression advantage.

Many of these combos seem to make sense, from building a character from scratch. I think it's a great addition for GLB, looking 2-3 seasons down the line for newly created characters.

However, for those of us with established mid-high level players, many will find intense training not only disappointing, but almost a complete waste of money and a useless addition. It would be nice if those players whom have helped to put money in your pocket, Bort, up until now, would at least be able to take an equal amount of advantage of a new feature as brand new characters/players.

Thanks for listening.

Can the OP make a list of the 196 combinations on page 1, and just update each whenever a new drill is thought up?

I'm too lazy to do it.

This is the kind of post that belongs in it's own thread. I do not necessarily agree with the training setup, but if it is what we have we need to get some of the options that are missing which is the purpose of this thread.

Catching + vision.
Catching + agility.

Not sure what they'd be called, but both vision and agility seem important for catching.

I hope this does not degenerate into that, but it could soon. I probably wont be updating the main post too much more often.

bad thing geno is we are forced to use at least 50 training points on intense if we ever purchase a piece of equipment from the new shopping section. unless I misread something but the only way to upgrade that stuff is with bonus tokens you get from intense training.

I really don't see why we are forced into limiting our training options. People will have to use normal to get the new equipment and people will have to train on intense to get bonus tokens. 196 options and we get 15 to choose from its not near enough.

THANKS BORT!

as if o-linemen didn't already have the edge... (intense training has a block and strength drill... where is the d-linemen's counter of strength +agility???) so what, our players cannot get special tokens and whatnot because we have no drills for us?
Bort bort bort... SCREW THAT.

getting off that, speed/agility backs love you for the wind sprints, but us power-backs are once again F*CKED.
give us at least a strength/carrying drill or SOMETHING.
dammit bort, I just wanted something where I could chose one, then the other to train (and possibly double it up with str+str it for if I really wanted to work on something as fast as possible...
nope you just had to make some players extremely happy (elusive types, o-linemen, etc.)
and some really sad (d-linemen, power-backs, etc.)

Saying there is 196 options is a bit disingenuous. There are a lot options that make no sense (e.g. basically everything with punting/kicking, quite a few for trowing, this like blocking+tackling, carrying+tackling, etc.)

but why limit it. maybe I want to train tackling and carrying on my CB..

maybe I want to train blocking and tackling on my LB or my DE. blocking does help slightly wit shedding blocks

Once again.. this belong in another thread. Not to mention the fact that by far and large people will want to train their minor stats for the bigger gain (except early on in their career).

its a mathematical 196 options, but you have to count speed+agility and agility+speed as two separate entries, when really its the same thing.
