I had a DE end the game with 10 energy, he only played 49 plays (we ended the game on offense; he has 22 stamina, level 21). However, he played LB for us, so I'm wondering if there is a greater energy penalty for playing out of position? We played a gutted team, so it wasn't like he was outmatched by anyone on the field.

I think the 22 stam lvl 21 might have done it. lol

That's what I'm thinking. But I thought he'd end at more like 30 or 40. 10 is ridiculous! Sending PM to increase stamina now...

wat?

Level 31 OT
Stamina: 40.95
# of Plays: 85
Post-Game Energy: 53

FYI, end game energy calculation used to be (if you want to plug in your current value and see where you would have been before):

energy = ((freshness + (player's current_energy * 1.25) / 2.25)

with a floor of 10 and a ceiling of 100.

Now end game energy calculation is:

energy = freshness
with a floor of 10 and a ceiling of 100.

You've had 4 seasons to play around with this. I haven't changed the effect of stamina at all yet.

If it is so, than why was my energy never as low in previous seasons, for as many, if not more plays than I have now?
Its not even close from what I see. It seems a lot of players are having the same problem and I have never been one to neglect Stamina in my builds.

Exactly. My punter today is at 60 energy (excuse me, freshness). However, last season doing very similar work, he was never below 85 'energy'. According to you Bort, I should have been near 60 energy after many games last season.

Because post-game ENG =/= In-game ENG?

EDIT: Bah, my pony 9 seconds too slow.

Serenity's explanation didn't click for me. However yours did. This leads to another question then:

Why aren't we being shown what our post-game energy would be as well? because to the tons of people who won't know any different...

It seems by showing the raw (unmodified?) in game energy (before post game restoration?), you're going to have tens of these questions asked because people 'not in the know of hidden game mechanics' may not realize this -> "in game energy at end of game is modified by a post game buff (based on your stamina, I'd guess".

This is good to know, thanks Bort.

Right, which is why this season's energy bar is so much more helpful with respect to determining what level our players are truly playing at in the latter portions of games. Thanks!

Because "Post-Game ENG" no longer exists. It's only in-game ENG ("freshness" really Bort?) now. Your player will start every new day with 100 ENG (fully rested). The ENG meter is now just a measure of how tired you finished the game. That way, you'll know whether or not you should work on his/her STAM.

But just because I finish the game at 35 freshness... does that mean I'm playing at 35% of capacity? Like my stats are all at 35% of their actual? Or do we not know that?

35% != 35% effectiveness. You get a portion of your stats as a base, and then the remaining portion is affected by stamina. That portion is the amount I'll be adjusting over the season.

We don't know that. It might be a straight % conversion, or it might be another "9% modifier". Only Bort knows.

EDIT: My pony 10 seconds too slow that time, I'm getting worse.

Great. Because it would really suck to have everyone playing at 35 and 40% effectiveness, lol. Not sure anybody wants to watch those dots.

Doesn't seem to hurt QB's

45 plays - 85 energy - 22 stamina - lvl 11

lvl 16 FS

52 plays - 52 energy - 25 stamina

My older guys that actually have stamina haven't played yet , 2 today 3 tomorrow.

I t would be very nice if we could get an idea what these %'s are now that we are seeing real in game energy.
