Thought I'd give these their own thread so they don't get lost in the normal chatter.

After week 2 the mighty Highlanders still hold the top spot and newcomer Tampa Sturm show they belong and move up to the 2nd spot. Las Vegas Gamblers despite an impressive win against the previous #4 team, Boston, drops to #3. Rounding out the top 5 are two perennial powerhouses the College Station Troopers and the Las Vegas Aces.

Biggest gain was the Chicago Templars who jumped an amazing 9 spots from 20 to 11. The Fort Worth Texans, who last year went undefeated, continue their plummet down the rankings falling from 10-16.

Oh and if anyone knows how I can format the post for more spacing, by all means advise. It doesn't look the same as how I cut and pasted it.

Whohoo! Go Templars! (I mean, please ignore the team behind the curtain. We are weak and playing us is good chance to start your backups to give them some experience. Yeah, that's it.

I like having the Templars 2-0 ranked below 1-1 teams... Just makes us hungry.

your a good team and all .. so i mean no offense .. but dont you have to win for several seasons to be considered a "perennial" power house ... if/when you do well this year .. then he can say it about you next year

LOL was just spicing it up with an intro a little bit ... I'll take out the word if it bugs people.

So we have the same record as the Gamblers, and beat them last year, but are below them? Does this take into account last years rankings at all, or just the difficulty of the opponents?

And the Gamblers happen to be your team?

SHENANIGANS!

Testing some formatting out for ya.

Ughhhh. I gave it a try, but the proportionally spaced fonts are messing it up. Feel free to try making something from what I posted below. Not sure if this forum supports BBCode.

Thanks for doing this, btw. I have some idea of the effort that goes into doing league-wide power rankings (see Canada AAA...) and I applaud you for putting in the work. Screw the people calling shenanigans

Edit for the people calling shenanigans: Yeah I know you're just messing around, so am I

You'll notice in the pre-season power rankings I said that I hated how they turned out because it made my team seem better than what it was. Honestly, I think outside of the Highlanders the Aces are the best team in the conference right now. All I do is plug in the numbers, and I used last years final power rankings to determine the initial power rankings and then have moved forward from there. I know it looks "fishy" but I assure you it's very formulaic and I don't have any control of them. If we lose to Atlanta tomorrow (which is possible, they have a tough, loaded team), I am sure we will drop. I also have no doubt with your team that you will eventually surpass us.

The Gamblers aren't even close to being the same team ya'll whooped up on last year though, I'm looking forward to the battle of Vegas.
