Thanks Jed, was just gonna put it in.

This would POSSIBLY be feasable if it was just full game friendlies where you play yourself, for the same cost as a normal scrimmage. I think it might work if I just set the same team id twice, but I would have to test.
Running "drills" doesn't seem like it would be as useful as running a full game.

If this is found to be feasable - would it be possible to Hide the "game" (practice) from public view?
Great way to test AI's and such
Yes, that's probably something I will look to do for friendlies anyway.

How about a downloadable file that would let us practice on our PC without tying up serve time. You could charge for the download and notify owners of changes to the code so they could update the download. You could sell a CD, but updates would be harder.
Welcome to EPIC
It would be benefical for a team to be able practice against your self. Please feel free to add things
Ideas
1a) Owner can have "Practice" Fund similar to the Equipment fund. GM's and players have ability to "donate" flex into this. I know sharing FP is on the NGTH list so maybe only owners can do this.
1b) A few free per season like scrimmages
2) Use normal energy settings.
3) Show stats from this game on the team profile page. Maybe under Scrimmages, pick team colors and go Purple vs Gold 21-14.
4) Score wouldnt mean anything but you could see if your defensive AI or offensive AI is working how you want it to.
5) Very customizable. Be able to go Offense 1st string vs Defense 2nd, or any combonation you would like.
6) 2 O Line, 1 HB vs 2 D Line and 1 LB. Create any kind of formation to test against. Open field, sideline, ect.
7) Within your own team only
8) Choose any player to go up against your D-line, LB's or Secondary(individuals as well)
9) Make them team private. Most tactics would be used next game so it wouldnt be smart for them to be open to the public
10) Ability to run Goal line, 2 minute, ect.
11) Does not affect XP.(Meaning it would not go up with practice)
"Practice" Fund ideas. Also number 1b)
Maybe every GM has an option to have a Practice Fund so that they arent sharing the FP(NGTH List) but the owner is alerted when they are being used on their team(would require a GM option and/or approval)
Owner would recieve an alert when a GM or player drops some FP into this "Practice Fund"
Benefits
This can benefit teams by keeping the forums more active, having little ego boosts for your players. This can also be very fun, competetive and very very enjoyable thus making a team that is competitive with happy players and gives the OC and DC a little help to testing their AI.
Non-Benefits
Maybe this has a chance to injure a player and is free like for one game your player might miss a game. this way it would have some draw back.(If injuries are implenmented)
Kickers
In real football, a coach will watch a kicker in practice and before the game to get an idea of the player's range (he's nearly 100% below X yards, he's 75% at X yards, he's 50% at X yards, etc). We don't have that here, and pretty much have to experiment in-game to determine a range (which is not an exact science, since you can't choose where he's kicking from).
How about some sort of range estimator? Maybe have something in the AI where you can set a yardage range and see if the kicker makes it. Or, place something on the kicker's profile (estimates of percentages at different ranges, not just actual game performance).
Situational Practice
QB can practice third down passing plays and specific routes for his receivers to run(Strength, throwing, vision, confidence)
HB can train on red zone runs. HB can work on his power runs up the middle(Strength, agility, vision)
WR can train their route running. Goes along with the QB. Work on routes for specific receivers to run game time.(vision, agility, speed)
OT's can train run blocking specifically. OT can be ready to run certain plays for a HB who is coming his way in the red zone or on short yardage plays.(Run blockin SA)
CB's train on short yardage defense. CBs will be able to read whether or not to crowd the line on 3rd and 3 or other short yardages.(Vision, agility)
Thanks to Marlin for this idea
Any more ideas or guidelines, feel free to add them and i will update the OP
Opinions
"if we can implement scrimmages then why can't we implement inter-squad scrimmages?"
"Teams practice. I don't know why there even needs to be a drawback. When I was in high school we didn't test out our gameplan on the first game of the regular season."
"It would definitely allow us to create an actual playbook on defense instead of "lets hope this works" type of thing we have going now."
