Ok so here is the deal. I decided I wanted to get a group of people together who really knows GLB to help me rank the top 25 teams in GLB. I have gotten a good amount already but am still looking for more people who are intereted. We have our own private forum where we talk about teams and each week (sundays) people will post there list of top 25. I do not post because I don't want people to think I am cheating. i pretty much just get the teams ranked up and then add some comments. To spice it up a little I ask if anyone has some comments as well and I will add those in.

EDITION 1: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1561965

So if you are interested in being on the committee contact me via PM.

Hope GLB likes what we are doing and here goes.

1. Honolulu Hurricane Warriors (8)
USA Pro
Record: 13-0
-Even the committee of 9 agreed. 8 of them said that for sure that HWH was the top team in GLB. Looks like they are proving it so far. Not sure if this team is accepting friendlies though.

2. Monmouth Evil Monkeys
USA Pro
Record: 12-1
-I will tell ya what. These guys can play some football. Evil only lost to one team and that was HWH. Look for them to continue there success. Beating the Yetis was also a good way to move up in the rankings.

3. Santiago Benitos (1)
South America Pro
Record: 13-0
-A win streak of 45? can this team be stopped? They have a friendly against Mean Machine who have lost 2 in a row now in conference.

4. Artic Bay Yetis
Canada Pro
Record: 13-0
-It seems like these guys are just a great team in Conference. They have some great wins and they only really have 1 big loss to MEM. A 3-peat in Canada Pro Coming?

5. West Scranton Invaders
Oceania Pro
Record:13-0
-In possibly one of the top games in all of GLB Scranton provailed against the previously undefeated Mean Machines who have now lost 2. In a couple days they get Cobra Kai. A loss may drop them and could even help out the Kai in getting in these rankings.

6. Boston Nighthawks
USA Pro
Record: 13-0
-Once again just a force to be reckoned with. Up next they get Jed and the Pushovers who are on a 2 game slide. A win can put them into the top 5a loss may drop them quite a bit.

7. Krazy Monkeys
South America Pro
Record: 12-1
-Will always be a good enough team to get into the top 25. However, I am surprised the committee ranked them so high. Only time will tell if these guys are truely a top 10 team in the League.

8. San Francisco Fire
USA Pro
Record: 11-2
-HWH beat them a little bit ago. Doesn't matter though as the Committee seemed to really like this team. If they can go deep into USA Pro's Playoffs they may move up considerably.

9. Detriot Demon Lions
USA Pro
Record: 11-2
-Another USA Pro team rounding out the top 10. DDL will always be a force to be reckoned with. They have the Longhorns and the Screaming Pelicans here very soon so we will get to see some action with those teams.

10. Tonga Ikale Tahi
Oceania Pro
Record: 12-1
-I can't really pernounce the name but I like. Beating the Mean Machines show a lot. There only loss is to Scranton where they put up a goose egg. Sort of worries me.

11. Moose Jaw Fightin Hobos
Canada Pro
Record: 12-1
-Not much too say rather then I would not mess with a Hobo with a Moose Jaw. They get SFSF up next in Conferencewhich is promising.

12. Louisiana Screaming Pelicans
Southeast Asia Pro
Record: 13-0
-Only undefeated team in SEAP.They don't have much of a schedule next but a little down the road they get DDL of USA Pro.

13. Mean Machine
Oceania Pro
Record: 11-2
-Losing 2 in a row was not predictable and has my committee a bit confused. They were ranked as high as 8 and as low as 24. They end up at number 13.

14. Halifax Explosion
Canada Pro
Record: 11-2
-Should be able to go 14-2 in conference for the rest of the season. Even though lolcpl doesn't seem to care I know that gart888 does!

15. Buenes Aires Barracudas
South America Pro
Record: 12-1
-Once again that loss to the Kai hurts them quite a bit. In fact all there losses this season have been against unranked teams. Is this team a contender or pretender?

16. Porto Alegre Smugglers
South America Pro
Record: 12-1
-A 12-1 Record is nothing to be ashamed about. Up next they have Buenes Aires which will be sending one of these guys up and one down the poll.

17. East St. Louis Tire Fires
Southeast Asia Pro
Record: 12-1
-A loss to an unranked is never good. Other then that they lost to the Mean Machines as well. Team will finish 15-1 unless something very strange happens.

18. San Francisco Sucka Frees
Canada Pro
Record: 12-1
-San Francisco Sucka Frees to high... I know I know.

19. Marblehead Longhorns
Canada Pro
Record: 11-2
-Don't know much about the team. I will stay a bit tuned in to them for next week though.

20. Prague Punishers
Eastern Europe Pro
Record: 12-1
-A loss by a point in conference is rough especailly against an unranked team. Should be able to finish out the rest of the Season strong. They get the Pushovers later.

21. Misctanbul Crusaders
Eastern Europe Pro
Record: 13-0
-only 2 losses this season are to Prague and SFSF who are both ranked. Minsk Ninja's are up next on Conference.

22. The Last Gunfighters of Texas
Africa Pro
Record: 13-0
-Is there 200 point wins getting tired in Conference yet? I would say go get some tougher scrimmages but they were just crushed by Dryden who is a 9-4 team in Canada.

23. NACJAC
Southeast Asia Pro
Record: 11-2
-Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon is probably one of the most annoying team names I have ever heard but then again I am the owner of Flathead Just Go Krazy. Team looks like they can compete for now.

24. Kamakura Katanas
Southeast Asia Pro
Record: 12-1
-Manila and Bandar look like they can possibly pull off an upset against these guys which would put them out of the rankings for sure.

25. Taiwan Blood Pandas
Southeast Asia Pro
Record: 11-2
-Just barely sneak in there... but there in there. They will need to not lose anymore to really stay where they are.

Other teams recieving votes: Adriana Lima Beans (2), Cobra Kai (2), Banzai Pipeline 'Nites (2), Green Bay Maulers (2), Marcaibo Stingrays, Black Watch, Philadelphia Pushovers

Don't like our rankings? Have some beef with us? Want to tell us we are doing good? Go ahead and tell us. We love comments.

Our Committee's Comments
To: Honolulu Hurricane Warriors
From: bhall43
-Despite not taking any scrimmage offers at this point in time, they obviously are serious about their season. Being undefeated in USA Pro is no small task, especially when you consider they have defeated the Monmouth Evil Monkeys and straight up killed the San Francisco Fire.
From: jdupuy3
-Great teams don't have to prove they're great. (For example, scrimmage friendlies).

To: Monmouth Evil Monkeys
From: bhall43
-What else is there to say about this squad aside from they are elite? Their only loss this season comes to the unanimous #1 in many minds in a close tilt that could have gone either way. They have an undefeated scrimmage record with wins over such teams as the Arctic Bay Yeti's, Adriana Lima Beans, Prague Punishers, Halifax Explosion, Tonga Ikale Tahi, Marblehead Longhorns, and the list just continues to grow. Until someone else besides HHW takes this team down, this is GLB's Numero Dos.
From: jdupuy3
-Playing 'Bama to HHW's Florida.

To: Santiago Benitos
From: bhall43
-There are a couple out there who still believe this team is the best. They are undefeated in both regular season and scrimmage games. Their lack of talented opponents is what lands them at #3 on the charts, but they do have an upcoming game against the Mean Machine to help their case a little bit.
From: jdupuy3
-24-0 just isn't good enough.

To: Arctic Bay Yeti's
From: bhall43
They are undefeated in Canada and are running a 23 game win streak as well. They dodged the World Cup, but still haven't dodged good competition in the mean time. Take a look at their scrimmage schedule and you will know they aren't scared of anyone. They had a couple stumbles early in the scrimmage schedule against some AAA talent, but you almost have to throw that out the window when you look at their accomplishments against some of our top 25. Most notable game for them was their recent loss to the Monmouth Evil Monkeys. Before that game many thought of this as GLB's top squad.

To: West Scranton Invaders
From: bhall43
A lot of people could make a case for them to be #1, but we aren't convinced yet. They might be the most underrated team in GLB, but are they dodging the elite talent in scrimmage play? Doubtful, but you can still point to their regular season accomplishments with wins over Mean Machine and Tonga Ikale Tahi.

To: Boston Nighthawks
From: bhall43
This is another one of those teams you would like to see more from. The USA East doesn't boast teams like Monmouth and Honolulu, but still has solid talent in DDL, Green Bay, Philly, and Cincy to compete with. They have taken 3 out of 4 against those opponents and look to make it a perfect square route of teams tomorrow against the Pushovers. Their scrimmage schedule looks a lot like HHW, but you can't argue against their talent.

To: Krazy Monkeys
From: bhall43
Lost a close one midseason to the Barracuda's. They don't exactly have a brilliant set of wins over great opponents, but there still seems to be some hope for these less evil Monkeys. They have a big scrimmage against the Banzai coming up in a couple days. We should get a better idea about this Krazy bunch after that.

To: Tonga Ikale Tahi
From: jdupuy3
-TITs come bouncing in at a perfect 10.

To: Moose Jaw Fightin Hobos
From: jdupuy3
-Too high.

To: Buenes Aires Barracudas
From: jdupuy3
-Lone blemish is to the Bonus Token Kai.

To: Porto Alegre Smugglers
From: jdupuy3
-Smugglers will jump at least one spot if they can pull off the victory in one of the week's bigger games (versus #15 BA 'Cudas).

To: Taiwan Blood Pandas
From: jdupuy3
-Consecutive scrimmage losses are not enough to keep them from making their poll debut.

Apparently some people in the committee didn't do their homework.

Anyway, just sayin' these ranking things are for the most part kinda pointless. San Fran is a great team, not bashing them at all, just trying to prove a point about these ranking threads.

I had Marblehead above SFSF in my rankings for the committee for the record.

You should realize that over the past 1 1/2 seasons they have beaten the teams ranked 4, 10, 13, and 16, and have lost to no one this season, scrimmages included. Their scrimmage schedule has been full all season, playing games in head to head tourneys vs. SA Pro, SE Asia Pro, and defending their Landry tourney championship.
I wouldn't call that dodging top talent, would you?
