A player should be able to by things with his money then just all that stuff some examples are


Sunglasses=+1 vision weekly
House=+1 something weekly
Weights=+1 Strength weekly
College Football season tickets=+1 football knowledge weekly
Car= +1 morale daily
etc.

edit: also where are the tradeoffs in this paradigm? For example, is it a goal to have players say "should I upgrade my EQ or buy a trainer" etc. etc. Is the goal to create financial pressure?

Not a bad Idea. But I think there are better things to worry about.

I recommend for glb money that since we are the player's agents we should be able to handle all aspects of their finances.

We should be able to have them buy houses for around realistic prices. Maybe start off with a condo, 1 story house, 2 story house, 3+ story house, Mansion, and owning a hotel resort.

Maybe also since we're agents we could decide how much money they spend on food and parties and whatever. Also possibly the amount of real estate a player had the more morale he had or maybe confidence.

Also a player would have to do this everytime he moved. That would involve trading, and being cut or released from a team. Maybe if you got traded you could offer to sell your housing to the player your trading with to get more money than selling it back to the team or something.

That sparks an even better idea. Maybe teams can get a certain amount of housing per team. Maybe like 20 condos to start off with. This would let players who didn't have the money to stay in the team's owned condos. Also they could buy more if they wanted to for their other players.

The housing could have a bonus just like eq but that could be changed to a different type of bonus. Maybe it could apply to stamina or energy since the better the housing couuld equal the more the rest.

As far as food and parties go they could be instant morale uppers. They would take down some energy before each game but would boost a player's morale instantly.

The ultimate combination would be a Hotel resort and alot of parties and foods.

This would definetly help glb with money options.

Also their could be house upgrades: Say you could upgrade to a pool, a balcony, a sunroom, adding a whole new room to the house, or adding a home gym.

This could be like a player's version of a stadium giving them somtehing to end up with by the time they retire.

The prices would have to be a little low though or not too high as players would lose too much money by buying certain things. Also player's would have the option of taking out a loan but at the risk of losing their home.

The trainers and stuff could be added if coaches are ever implemented

I like the idea.
The only thing I dont like that it would be implemented into this league (minor and aa, aaa and pro) system, where some low cap teams have full stadium and 30+ million and the others just building their stadium and try to gain cash. Because it would make a bigger gap between the wealthy teams and newcomers.
It would be good if it's only allowed from AAA level.

+1, limit the level of upgrade and if you go too far with interviews and those things, then a chemistry and stats penalty should happen for the next game(who likes a T.O.)?

Multi-parted suggestion!

First, make morale not reset automatically after a game. Instead, regain morale points over night at a rate according to your confidence. I wont put a formula here because I would literally be just making it up on the spot and it would require a lot more consideration than that.

Now, there are a variety of things that follow including the possibility for a VA or two for recovering morale, an obvious increase in the importance of stamina, potential influence in the form of CHEMISTRY and coaches if/whenever that goes in, and morale-boosting consumables!

That being said:
