I want order in my private forum and dont just want to delete threads without people knowing why.

Sorry, it's only ones you own. The owner of the private forum can still post there and keep order.

but why should it be like that? All private forums should be treated the same and be different than the public forums.

If a player is banned from public forums they still have the right to post in their friends private forums.

this kind of narrowmindedness response from Jed is the reason why it has not changed.

I agree with you Moh7. If I pay for a private forum I think I should get to decide which posters can post on it and see it.

And it's because it's a punishment. Don't break the rules and you won't have to worry about it. And as I said, the owner of the forum can still post so it's not like the forum becomes lawless.

I agree with what Jed is saying. To be banned from the forums the person must have done something very bad, and will have broken numerous rules very often. Being banned from the forums is the punishment for doing so, why should there be a loop hole out of the punishment?

if not you should, deleting threads and locking threads that have no business, suspending people because you can't take negative criticism about your own players, tons more but don't want to derail this.

Other mods have said they agree that private forums should not be included in the suspension because you have broken the public forum rules, the rules in my own personal forum is not the same as yours so if someone who had access to mine was not allowed to post because he broke YOUR rules and not MY rules is completely stupid.

not true, people get banned for stupid things.

I have been banned and all of the times I have banned they have been overturned because they realize it was done in bad judgement from the MODs and I was in the right.

Back on-topic (and hopefully staying there this time....), if "other mods" think that is the case, they can feel free to comment on that. It's not any of our final decision (hence me not locking this just because I disagree with it), but I disagree and am interested to see which "other mods" think this is how it should be.

As for the "your rules vs my rules" argument, it's all owned by GLB, so it applies to all.

Well, there's at least a bit of truth to this one: a couple were reversed (and why is this being said as if it's a bad thing, if one of us realizes we're wrong, isn't it a good thing to remedy the situation?) and I see 1 which stuck as normal and one which was increased, not decreased.

Not to derail your thought on this one, but if I pay my 100 FP, which I most likely bought with MY money, a Private Forum.. And Someone breaks your rules... and not mine...

Since I paid for my forum, and not the public forums. Legally you can't be banned from Private forums because of the fact that technically someone else "owns" them.

More like a rental than a purchase. You have full control to do what you want there.....within the terms given by the landlord.

You don't really own them, they are still Borts. And each user agrees to the forum rules, which apply even in private forums:

Private forum rules are a little more relaxed, but please note that Administrators may view your private forum at any time in order to protect the interests of the site and its users.

* You may talk about whatever you like in your private forum.
* General Rules regarding pornography, hate speech, racism, planning spam/hacking attempts, and illegal activity also apply to private forums.
* Sharing PM's, builds, and/or tactics of other users without their permission is not allowed.


Violation of private forum rules may result in confiscation of the forum without refund, and/or suspensions/bans of the users involved.


So the regular rules still apply. just less strict.

I agree they are more like rentals instead of owning
