Keeping it simple but game related, players need to be able to spend their $$ instead of it just sitting there. i propose the following 3 options for money:
1) bank it - players would have a couple of options. a) 1 season CD paying 5%, b) money market earning 2% but cash would be immediately accessible, or c) team stock which would go up or down based on winning/losing record, +1% for each win, and -1% for each loss.
2) in home workout area. There would be a list of types to choose from like weight center, lap pool, etc. And 3 variants: basic, advanced, pro quality giving 1, 3 or 5% extra to the training attribute associated with that types, ie basic weight room would be +1% daily to strength training, whereas a pro lap pool would be a +5% daily training to stamina.
3) bling. this would improve a player's morale. again there would be various types, so a gold chain might be a +1 to daily morale and a sports car would be a +5 but be substantially more expensive.
These would be easy for people to understand and all have consequences in the game.
