Further proof that RPI is nearly useless......

Nearly halfway threw the season a SUB .500 team is ranked ahead of an undfeated team in the west.

Whats even funnier...is that nearly halfway threw the season an undefeated team is in danger of looseing its "playoff birth" in the rankings to a another sub .500 team is beat up with its back-ups.....

Ok, stop reading the RPI then. I'm tired of you complaining each time that the RPI is worthless, so just don't read it

This is the 2rd time this season you put Us (Les gaulois) loose by many points. What we will need to do to have your prediction on our side ? :O

Well we couldn't beat the Redbirds, but we beat the hell out of the spread. Does that get us anything? No, didn't think so...

consider it an early christmas present. everyone was set to aggressive coverage and power tackling and half the defensive playbook consisted of pure zone coverage and test blitzes

The RPI doesn't necessarily tell you how good a team is. It really tells you more how good their competition is. So if a team has a really high RPI and not so good record, it is safe to assume they are better than their record says. Also if a team is undefeated but a low RPI, it says they may not be as good as their records makes them look.

The RPI in no way tells you how good a team is alone. Most of the ranking is based off their competition's record. Before bitching about it dshearn, you should really look into what it actually represents.
