I propose someone in management make up the "OFFICIAL RULES OF THE GAME" Rulebook for the GLB version of American Football.

I know the basic rules of American Football because i know NCAA nad NFL. However, anyone who knows these rules, knows that there are some very different rules that GLB plays by.

In looking though /bugs and /suggestions there seems to be many posts wondering why the rule isnt like it is in NFL or NCAA. the resposne is always "it's not NCAA or NFL". I'm fine with that. but you should really let us know the rules our players are playing by at some point.

so far glaring descrepancies include:
-clock management(i.e.-when it starts and stops)
-KO's after a safety instead of a punt
-Roster rules and limits
-2pt conversions
-late hits
-clipping
-LOS
-coin tosses

clarification from an official person would be great for things like:
-playoff seeding
-MVP calculation
-Contract rules and limits
-stat calculation.. (whats a drop, and what a PD, and whats been knocked loose)


I can add more to this when i come across them.

NOTE: This would have nothing to do with the actual "sim numbers". I agree that those should be kept secret. This is a rules of football suggestion. also, it would bonly be worth a damn if someone in an OFFICIAL capacity did this. and user-created guide is pointless.

since u helped me out with mine. this actually makes sense. whey should u KO when its a safety, and can't just punt it. not right.

I didnt get much of a response to this last time either. Thats fine, I jsut think it would cut out a ton of suggestions regarding football rules and complaints that the game doesnt follow NFL or the NCAA rulebook.

and there would also have to be no 2 point conversions

I think this is something that could easily be done on the Wiki, then bort would import it to thr FAQ or something.. While I'm not normally a "fix the sim before you do anything else" kind of person.. things like this, where we can help bort out a bit so he can focus on other things, I think we should do ourselves then let bort import them to the site.

I do believe you mean "Punts after a safety instead of a KO".

Seems like a way to explain away problems by saying, "because its the rules"

+1 however, just so we know what "rules" we are playing by.

The rules around here change too often to have official rules. Not saying this is good or bad, just sayin'

That's exactly what ruins the integrity of rating systems, so how about we not start it here? If you actually support it, then at least make it sound like you do, and aren't just trying to return a favor.
