They run faster than WRs with the same attributes, and just as fast as WRs with better attributes. This could be the cause of shutdown coverage VA but I really don't think that is the case because they also run down RBs that are faster.

Deathblade's script show this constantly. A WR with 115 speed and 80 agility runs about the same as a CB with 85 speed and 80 agility.

It also shows corners running down faster players like this.

The CB has 1 point in closing speed. He has 11 less speed and 1 less agility. Plus LBs and safeties with high closing speed doesn't reflect that it makes that big of a difference.

Stamina of each?

I dunno about the running WRs down thing, but especially when watching Ins, unders and short routes like that, there seems to be a bit of a speed/agility cap on both the WR/TE and the defensive player covering them. It's weird and sometimes they look like robots with the WR just mimicking the WR/TE at a set distance. Creative route running i've seen makes that a bit different and break the route with agility moves but hard to tell exactly

Closing speed doesn't activate when you're that close anyways.

First play of the game. Plus it has been proven that stamina doesn't impact speed that much but both are within a couple points in stamina.

We can eliminate that then.

Yep and it seems like there's a cap on their speed on streak routes as well.

has it? last season when my HB was in a 2 HB system he was getting exhausted in the 2nd half. he was noticeably slower every game as it went on.

as a side note, second wind was not a good fix for that >_>

Exactly - it's like there is a pole connecting the dots and they operate in tandem.

Can we? players tire during plays don't they? Even if two players start a play at the same energy, there's no saying if they'll be the same when the play ends.

Of course its very unlikely that energy is the culprit, but i'm not sure if that allows us to eliminate it as a possibility.

Bort tried to fix that bug a season or two ago but it still exists at time. It was inthe bug forum and he said he fixed it but i think he adjusted it somewhat but it still happens.

Gart- Quit being cryptic with build comments. It's confusing my feeble mind
