Bort has said that he put the tackling bar up just because he couldn't think of anything else to put there. Tackling does nothing for O-linemen so DO NOT put points into tackling if you have an O-lineman. They are a waste.

He should have put Run Blocking and Pass Blocking. Kind of like LB's on defense.

Depends on your lineman. I have a Center who works Special Teams, and get tackles almost every game . . ..

Well than pump that tackling way up there! If you think 5-6 plays where you may need tackling is going to override the 40-50 where you don't, than your not going to have a very good player build. Tackling goes up .5 per lvl. up anyway, so by level 20 your already going to be up into the 20-25 range.

I dont know. I think it would give away too much strategy about an offense if their amount of run blocking vs pass blocking was public to everybody

It is one of the rating bars in the O-lineman player profile so (mostly new) people have been assuming (understandably so) that maybe it helps O-linemen the way blocking helps D-linemen, but it doesn't.

They could have a blocking bar and a mobility bar.

But what about catching for defensive players. You still need to catch them in order to tackle them, right?
