So we have all these tourneys, but how about something different? I was thinking we make a tourney where teams are forced to pass.
* Each team has to pass the ball for 3 quarters, any 3 quarters. You are allowed to run the ball for 1 quarter any quarter to keep defenses honest from doubling up on the Wrs when they know you are passing all game long (HHM).
* If a team Runs the ball more than one quarter than that team is disqualified. I understand the AI has bugs sometimes so if its a unique play where its the only run in the entire quarter we can let that one slide.
* I'll create a trophy for the tourney if there is enough interest. Boosting Custom EQ doesnt matter.
* So for 3 entire quarters you have to pass, one entire quarter you can run the ball, you cannot run the ball in the 1st and 2nd Q, or 1st and 3 or 2nd and 4th and so on.
So is there any interest? We can make the rules up now though I think I covered them...lol
* Please send the scrimmage offer as a NON RANKED scrimmage and also don't accept a RANKED scrimmage, this will eleaviate any bad intensions over one team to another.

Do you mean that we can't run at ALL during the 3 quarters, or...?

yep, You can only run for 1 quarter, any quarter. You have to pass the entire quarter for 3 quarters. I figured we could allow a random quarter so defenses can't stack up vs the pass or get burned for a quarter.

And I think this is a brilliant idea, and could make for a lot of fun and laughs.

We would back this tourney with interest also.
Not so sure how the penalty's would go into effect (being like you said AI can be a bugger sometimes)
Can you clarify you can only run for 1 Quarter? Or Run for an overall average of 1 Quarter throughout the game?

Example:

Pass 1st Quarter>
Run 1/2 2nd Quarter>
Pass 1/2 2nd Quarter>
Pass 3rd Quarter>
Run 1/2 4th Quarter
Pass 1/2 4th Quarter

Like this above? Or are you saying designate a Quarter of the game you Only Run the ball The rest passing?

I am thinking an entire quarter only. Not half and half because teams will say they had the ball this X amount of time as opposed to that x amount of time. This way its clear cut. Teams will have to select one quarter only to rush the ball. The defense will have no Idea which quarter that may be so they have to stay honest. It will also be easier to identify when a team claims their opponent should be disqualified because if you see the rushed in 2 or more quarters then the proof is in the pudding.

When would you start this? At the beginning of the season? That would have a much different feel than even mid-way through the season.

Sounds like a good structure.

Depends on how many teams but the later the better I'm thinking. Maybe around level 4 start it up.
