MAKE PROMOTION MANDATORY! It's supposed to be a good thing. There should be absolutely no reason a team can decline promotion at any level. We saw this problem arise a few times recently:

APL to WL - Apparently all the top teams declined promotion, so we kept one of their teams from last season.
CPUs all over AA leagues - Again, why not just fill these in with the teams from uncapped minors, fill those spots with teams from the highest cap, fill those in with teams from the cap below, etc, etc, etc.

Let's get these teams moving through the system, not staying stagnant. The system we have right now is a joke.

What?

If they gut, then they move back to the bottom.

If they're gutted when the promotions are being processed, you don't promote them.

No they will gut after you force promote them to AA when they do not want to be there.

+1 to the OP. It's not good for teams to decline promotions.
If they gut before the preseason starts, it's easy enough to move around teams to account for that.

And then you wonder why you have a problem.
It is pretty simple from where I am sitting.

It seems it does not matter now.
You will have your competition in AA.
A lot less trophies to go around though!!!

Sorry, tbh, I feel that if a team declines promotion to a league where they can be competitive, they should have their team taken away. I know Bort won't do that, but there needs to be a deterent to prevent teams from being to chicken to move up. Not everyone should be able to dominate and that is what the promotion declining teams want to do.

To bad I say. For the good of the game and the leagues, promotion should be forced for any playoff teams that are in line for them.

I 100% agree. The whole point of GLB is to make it to the pro's and eventually the WPL. The fastest way to do that obviously is to get promoted. There is no legitimate reason to reject a promotion, unless you are gutting. This is a very good idea imo

Only reason is to get plenty of minor trophies, farm, and gut over & over again...sending their players up to their 'main team' once they have been sufficiently grown.

+1 : they want to stay low, fine...but they need to gut during the off-season & stay within the Cap limits. Else we are in the same spot as last season.
