I just don't understand it, really, there are 40-50 teams that are outfitted with extremely well recruited, well built rosters that could VERY, VERY easily make up a "AA" Casual league. I see the regular team minors are now ALL capped leagues with no un-capped clouds. Theres still hundreds of teams in the regular team "AA" leagues with average levelled teams that couldn't hold a candle to the best 24-32 teams in Casual leagues. Heck theres alot of teams in AAA that are weaker over-all then some of the best Casual squads!

I see no EXCUSE what so-ever at this point that there couldn't have been a "AA" casual league in season 13. A team like mine costs a fortune in monopoly money to upkeep salary and equip, and after 2 full seasons of uncapped we go 20-0 and our promotion is to another cloud league??

I'm sorry Bort, but i've sent several requests to support and to 2 different admins about how we could build up a future competitive Casual league and none were responded to. I took 2.5 hours sorting the best of the best 32 teams to form a future "AA" Casual league this season and in my honest opinion would be more competitive over-all then ANY regular "AA" league in the GLB!

The rivalries and dedication to recruiting for a league like this takes a heck of alot of work, just because the AI is not used we are instantly S.O.L. for respect. We don't get an offical Casual league Only tournament dedicated to us but is announced like the Peewee leagues get.

There's 2-3 threads with many postitive comments in the suggestions forum for a higher tiered Casual league, there's many Private forums that will 100% back-up this popularity, yet we still are tossed aside.....

I'm a wits end with the lack of respect, and i don't care if the nay-sayers remind me its an AI free league, we still pay to own a team, we still spend endless hours recruiting, we still spend and encourage team wide boosts, what the hell else am i or any other Casual team owner supposed to do?????

Probably because of the amount of gameplanning and strategy involved in high level competition in the normal leagues. I enjoyed casual leagues while I was there, but it's in no way as trying as coordinating a normal team.

But really, who cares about respect when you're playing in a "casual" league?

I agree with the op. That's one of the biggest reasons I sold back my casual. We were cap 38 last season and it became obvious that there was going to be nowhere to go after this season so I said "to hell with it".

rename Casual Leagues to "Classic" Leagues and they'll get a lot more respect tbh

Perception is a big part of why it gets so much shit

That's a problem with caps, not respect.

What I suggest doing is finding the most "important" mod/admin in casual who cares about casual. whoever it may be. and have them get in Bort's ear. Darkus singlehandedly changed Pee Wees by just coming up with ideas that made sense and everybody channeled their ideas through him it seems. From that, Pee Wee's got a structure, their own lil fancy tourney in the announcements, etc.

So do that and chill.

try Max Zorin - he owns a level 46-capped casual team

Same for me, that's the reason I'm not doing casual anymore.

I really like the "Classic" League idea as well.

Meh, I couldn't care less about respect. I was more concerned with getting up to uncapped and not being able to buy equipment.

A lot of "regular" league owners don't even spend time creating intensive AIs and they can still be successful.

This. the word "Casual" makes some possible recruits or people looking at the team go away.

Not in the playoffs in a pro league, and definitely not since the introduction of tagging.

To be successful as a playoff team you have to be either completely dominant from a build perspective (not likely), or have an edge in tactics. I know, I've OC'd in everything from Pro to minor leagues, and also won multiple casual trophies as a Co-Owner/OC.

Casual leagues are simple. It's all about recruiting, extremely basic scouting, and coordination of builds.
