What do you guys think of having a Pro League trophy specific to Europe West Pro League?

In the interests of promoting regional identities, there have been inquiries about making the pro league titles specific to the regions in which they're contested. The idea is to re-introduce some semblance of regional identity, regional pride and regional affiliation into the game. The cloud league minors dealt a major blow to this part of Goal Line Blitz.

A support ticket was sent to the admins with the idea, and their response was essentially this:

"The problem is, if we give special treatment for 1 region to do this, every region is going to want one. In the light of being fair to all regions, it's best to do not do it, unless we are prepared to do this for everybody across the board."

So? What do you say, West Europe? Anyone want a trophy specific to this region?

Hell yeah, the generic trophies suck, i like this idea a lot, and it should be quite easy to do.

Not a bad idea. My suggestion for a name, although some of the newer guys might not understand why: Mike Rogers Cup (or Trophy).

I was going to request it be named after me but after this I can't. I am all for Mike Rogers.

Can you explain for the new guys?

i'll give my take:

Mike was one of the original GLB supermen. He was a tester, multi gm, FAQ poster etc. But unlike some of the others that have followed in his stead he did it with class, was more then happy to answer a question if he new the answer and would tell u if he didnt. I know he was heavily involved with WE leagues and was in part responsible...through a series of teams....for the Trombones. So, in short, he was everything you would hope to get in a mod type/ tester without the self indulgent ego attached. Good people IMO.

There are probably other versions but this is the one I am using for my support.

This thing needs to be the Mike Rogers cup...I know we have always considered it that dating back to around s2.

As slappdogg mentioned those are all things Mike did. Mike was also very involved in his local community (in England) helping to keep local youth out of gangs and what not. He also worked as a bouncer in a local club. One night as he was working in the club a fight broke out and as Mike was trying to break it up he got beaten up pretty badly and was in the hospital for a long time. He lost a lot of the sight in his eyes and had some trouble with his motor skills (the reason he doesn't play GLB anymore). During the short time he was in GLB he did more for the game than any tester or mod/admin since. He worked behind the scenes with a number of teams on different things and with Bort to help implement new game features.

Zickzack knows probly even more about this than I do, and feel free to correct me if any of that is wrong.

PS...if this does go through Please no jock strap submissions for the trophy.
