(original thread: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=3721923 )
(nomination thread: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=3732148 )

After deliberating for almost 2 months over more than 370 nominees, the official GLB Hall of Fame committee has decided upon the following 50 nominees. Our criteria were excellence at one's position, dramatic impact on his team's success, level of competition, and impact on the position and on the game as a whole.

The purpose of this thread is to allow the GLB community to familiarize themselves with these players. YOU DO NOT VOTE IN THIS THREAD!!! A poll should be coming during the pre-season that will allow you to vote. You will choose 25 of the 50 listed below. Furthermore, we are taking provisions to prevent people from creating multi-accounts to vote.

The Hall of Fame inductees will receive some form of recognition, which will probably be an individual trophy for his player and inclusion in a new Hall of Fame section created as a tab at the top of the page. No flex prize or package of any kind will be given to Hall of Fame inductees. The award is strictly for fame and recognition among the GLB community.

Of course there will be "slights" and "snubs", people you feel shouldn't be on this list and others who have been left off that you think deserve to be there. These kinds of debates are in part what makes any Hall of Fame compelling. As for the former, you have all the control since you don't have to vote for anyone you don't think is worthy of the award. As for the latter, there is always next year, and we will be considering nominees afresh once the voting for this class has ended.

Without further ado, here is your inaugural class of 50 finalists:

QB Ben Randall
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=28566
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=28566
Rationale: Randall led the Santiago Benitos to nine SAPL Championship appearances in GLB's first 10 seasons, winning the title six times. In an equally improbable feat, he collected SAPL's passing yardage and passing TD gold in both Season 1 and Season 10 ... and added nine more golds in those categories during the seasons in between. During that stretch, Santiago was a fixture in every poll that tracked GLB's Top Teams, and they were twice voted #1. Since leaving SAPL, he and his Benitos reached the WL playoffs in three consecutive seasons and he continued to expand his trophy case. With over 80,000 passing yards, 1,000 TD passes, and an incredible 18,000+ plays under his belt, Randall has been an iron man and a perennial champion.

QB Drago Puncher
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=36144
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=36144
Rationale: Drago led the Monmouth Evil Monkeys up the USA ladder, winning titles in AA and AAA before reaching the USAPL title game four times in five seasons and moving on to the WL. He captured the MVP award in the WL's inaugural season and earned passing trophies there in the following season as well. Although his team was never pass happy, he put up great numbers ... over 60,000 yards and 500 TD's. Drago's QB rating was over 95 in 11 of his 14 seasons, and 102.2 for his career. Monmouth Won at least 1 Playoff game in every season that Drago was their starting QB and was 8-0 in conference title games during that time

QB Grim Blackwood
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=67713
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=67713
Rationale: Grim spent his career in SAPL for the Porto Alegre Smugglers and dominated nearly every season with astronomical numbers. Defenses knew the only thing Grim's team could do was pass, and yet he still went over 7,000 yards in 7 different seasons. The Porto passing game was, throughout the majority of his career, surpassed by none. His numbers speak for themselves - he won an MVP, 16 gold passing trophies, and a conference championship during Porto's eternal hunt for the SAPL title. If MEM is the Buffalo Bills of GLB, then Grim is the Dan Marino.

QB Johnny Rocketarm
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=45510
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=45510
Rationale: This CPL star spent his career with two of the most well known franchises to come from that region - the Moose Jaw Fightin’ Hobos and the Halifax Explosion. His claim to fame (outside of his impact on the calculation of the MVP formula) is his two WL titles, but he also helped win a an early-season CPL crown for Moose Jaw and took them to three other CPL championship games. Rocketarm posted seven seasons of 100+ QB ratings and has a career TD:INT ratio of 4.2:1 while playing against some of the top competition GLB has to offer.

QB Riverboat Gambler
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=38177 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=38177
Rationale: Gambler played in three USAPL championship games and was a significant part of two great USAPL organizations, the Bourbon Street Bullies and the Lincoln Navigators. He lead the WL in passing TD's (2nd in passing yards) in his only WL season and in his 13-season career, his team made the playoffs 11 times. Eight times he surpassed 4,000 yards passing in a season, and eight times he threw fewer than 10 INT’s. Gambler was a leader that stood out from the crowd from his early seasons in USAPL all the way through the end of his career in the WL and finally in SAPL.

HB Dirty Mo Posse
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=47042
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=47042
Ratonale: One of the most productive dots in GLB history. Known for ability to both run and catch the ball with nine 2,000+ yard rushing seasons (seven in a row) and three 1,000+ yard receiving seasons. A journeyman for much of his career, DMP bounced through OPL, SAPL, CPL, Western Europe, the WL, and even to the Casual Pro League to ride out his decline, proving himself along the way with a Season 9 SLAP MVP and a Season 10 championship in CPL and rushing gold sprinkled from Season 2 to Season 13. This dot aged well and had some of his best seasons later in his dotball life.

HB Edward Bailey
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=38457 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=38457
Rationale: Bailey played in 3 different Pro leagues and the World League and excelled in all of them. His Season 9 CPL MVP tops off twenty Pro & WL trophies (including 8 golds). Bailey's most productive season was one that would stand up against the best any others have to offer - in S10, he produced nearly 6000 total yards, nearly 120 total TDs and averaged over 13 yards per touch. With career totals of over 38,000 yards and almost 700 TDs, Bailey even finished his career strong, grabbing a bronze trophy in SEAPL for rushing TD's in his final season (S13). Built to get first downs, Bailey did a lot more than that.

HB Garrett Dooley
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=36448
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=36448
Rationale: Anyone familiar with Canada Pro or the World League knows and, if you weren't on Halifax, fears the name Garret Dooley. 13 individual gold trophies at the Pro or World level (including 3 MVPs) and 3 League Championships (2 World League, 1 Canada Pro) are impressive, but Dooley gets even MORE impressive when you consider two of his best seasons, including his very best (S10), were with another HoF caliber HB, Jedi Knight, on the roster. In a 3-season span (S9-S11), Dooley amassed nearly 16,000 total yards and averaged 16.3 yards per TOUCH. In Seasons 9 & 10, Dooley completely dominated CPL, not only leading the league as a receiver (yards & TDs) but as a rusher as well (yards & TDs).

HB (HULK) (BLAZING)
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=311713
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=311713
Rationale: When you think of receiving HBs in GLB, HULK is the first name that comes to mind. He has eight receiving trophies on his mantle: all of which came at either the AAA or Pro level. His rushing stats are pedestrian, but his ability to catch passes out of the backfield (1,500+ catches and 18,000+ yards) places him among the elite backs in GLB history. HULK helped the ***O*** stage a late comeback and take home the USAPL title in Season 9 with a 16 catch, 133 yard performance.

HB Jacob Orangeblood
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=75206
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=75206
Rationale: Orangeblood's career with Cincinnati was highlighted by an incredible Season 10 in which he collected the USAPL rushing title, rushing TD title, offensive MVP, and tourney MVP's in both Hazy's and the PWT, leading the Shockers to one of the best seasons a GLB Pro team has ever had. A mix of speed, moves, and power, he continued in the World League from there with back-to-back 2,000+ yard campaigns, rushing titles, and MVP awards in S11 and S12 - the WL's top rusher during that span. Though most of his major hardware came during his later seasons, Orangeblood put up big numbers throughout his career ... 9 seasons topping 2,000 rushing yards and 9 with 40+ TDs ... most of those while in USA Pro and the World League.

HB Jedi Knight
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=47229
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=47229
Rationale: With two WL titles and three APL crowns, one of GLB's best-ever power backs capped his career by taking home the World Bowl MVP trophy in S12. A dominant tackle-breaking machine (nearly 3,000 BrTk's on his resume) he did equal damage as a receiver out of the backfield. Consistently the focus of opposing DC's and rarely held in check. He followed his crazy numbers in the ISlam seasons with three straight years of 2,000+ yards on the ground and 1,000+ receiving. 40,000 all-purpose yards, 600+ TD's, and four rushing titles that span from Season 2 (CAN AAA) to Season 8 (APL). He spent most of his career in APL, but cemented his rep against the best teams in GLB both in tourney play and eventually in the World League after joining Halifax.

HB Johnny Tso
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=531331
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=531331
Rationale: Born late in Season 2, this tough runner never took a liking to catching the ball, but did damage with his pads all the way up the ladder. Seven consecutive 3,000+ seasons and rushing titles (S4 & S5 (SA A), S6 (SA AA), S7 & S8 (SA AAA), and S9 & S10 (SAPL) ) ... and he's the World League's career rushing leader after four seasons of running against the best defensive Dots around. He isn't the known name that many other super-hyped GLB halfbacks are, but those who have faced him know the Tso. With over 43,000 rushing yards, 3,200 broken tackles, and 750 TD's, every opponent has seen him coming, but few have been able to slow him down, let alone stop him.

HB Larry Csonka
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=26466 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=26466
Rationale: The King of Kings for Powerbacks. Hundreds of DC's lost hours of sleep scheming to stop this unstoppable force during his heyday. Where to start with the Monmouth Monster??? As one of the main reasons for the powerback nerf, he averaged 213 yards and 3.6 touchdowns per game between Seasons 4 and 8 while playing for the Alpine Golfers and Monmouth. Csonka never had a season under 1,000 yards and averaged over 16 broken tackles a game throughout his entire career (compared to just one TFL per game.) He was the MVP of the PWT for MEM in Season 8 and his total of 3,800+ broken tackles is a number that all young powerbacks will be aiming at for seasons to come.

HB Sven Shriner
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=67159 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=67159
Rationale: Beginning his career as a HB/KR, Sven grew into one of the top combo backs in the game. He collected a number of awards at the Pro and World League level: two WEPL MVP’s, five WL rushing & receiving trophies, a WEPL championship with the Bonn Dynamo in Season 10, and two WL conference titles. One of only a handful of HB’s in the game that can say they’ve gained over 20,000 rushing yards and over 10,000 receiving yards.

HB Tea Baggins
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=69633 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=69633
Rationale: Sweep the Leg!! There may not be a more well-known player than Tea Baggins in all of GLB. Tea has certainly earned his fame, collecting two APL MVP awards on top of his 18 other Pro/WL trophies (9 gold). His career stats are incredibly impressive, collecting nearly 45,000 total yards in his career while averaging 8.6 yards per TOUCH. He's also reached the end zone an incredible 689 times. Tea's stats are bolstered even more when you consider his build was very rare, even unique, for the majority of his career. Outspoken? Yes. Annoying? Sure. One of the best HBs of all time? Absolutely.

FB Duck Beard
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=332906 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=332906
Rationale: Perhaps the most widely known fullback in the game, Duck Beard wasn't the household name that she is now until crashing the WL party with an outstanding string of seasons for the Machu Picchu Hidden Dragons in Seasons 11-13. Flourishing in an offense built to utilize her talents, she sliced through defenses and became the perfect complement to Johnny Tso's inside running game. Her ability to catch the ball opened up the offense for MPHD and gave plenty of WL DCs headaches, and her rushing numbers rank her among the best GLB FBs of all time.

WR Cassius Clay
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=87163
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=87163
Rationale: In an era dominated by speed WRs Clay was different. He holds the SAPL record for most pancakes in a season with 406, has over 1000 career pancakes at the Pro level, 341 career broken tackles (most broken tackles ever by a Pro level WR), and he is the only WR to have a Pro League Gold Pancake Trophy, Gold Receiving Yards Trophy, and Gold Receiving TD's trophy. With career receiving totals of 1000+ receptions, 15,000+ yards, and 200+ TDs, Clay was a great receiver who broke the mold and did it all ... a unique force for a unique team, he was the original STR WR.

WR Eric Eggleston
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=26938
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=26938
Rationale: One of the most productive WRs in GLB to date. His consistent success wherever he goes showed that no matter what the current state of the passing sim was, this guy was still the best. He helped bring championships everywhere he went , winning 6 league titles - four with the Arctic Bay Yetis of CPL and two with the Emmaus Fighting Green Hornets of EEPL. As a WR and returner he accumulated an impressive case full of awards for receiving, kick & punt returns, and was named the season 12 Addict's Tourney MVP ... despite his team losing the championship game. With over 1,000 receptions, almost 19,000 receiving yards, and 91 receiving TDs, this is one of, if not the best, WRs GLB has ever seen.

WR Jericho Brooks
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=47328
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=47328
Rationale: Possibly the most effective speed WR in the game, Jericho forced opponents to either play deep coverage over the top of him or give up multiple TDs, and his ability to accelerate after the catch gave defense fits. He amassed over 1,000 receptions, 17,000 yards, and nearly 250 TD's while spending the majority of his career in CPL, and eventually helping Halifax win two WL titles. In an offense that included both Jedi Knight and Garrett Dooley, Jericho still had a tremendous impact, converting over 25% of his touches into TDs. Appropriately, he also owns the record for longest TD reception in the WL, occurring in the WL Playoffs of season 11.

WR Maurice MacIntosh
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=324469
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=324469
Rationale: LB's model of the Speed WR. While Colon Grifter opened eyes in the early seasons, Mo Mac opened a can when he hit FA back in season 11. Receiving ridicule from many of the WR gurus in his recruiting thread that his catching/vision/agility/strength/carrying/jumping all were not high enough to be successful in a Pro League, he chose the Lincoln Navigators as his new home. It didn't take him long to drop jaws in USAPL and Maurice went on to being one of the most highly regarded speed threats in the game during the seasons that followed. With over 1,000 career catches, 20,000 receiving yards, and 250 TD’s, Mac earned his spot among the best in the game.

TE Corpulent Pigleg
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=26452 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=26452
Rationale: Pigleg is widely regarded as the best receiving TE of all time. A dominant speedster at the TE position, using a LB to cover Pigleg was not an option. Amassing nearly 1,000 receptions, 14,000+ yards, and over 130 TDs during his career, Pigleg led an offense that included another HoF caliber player in Jacob Orangeblood. These two combined to form a ridiculous one-two punch that would later be known as "Shock This". Included in their trek through GLB was a Season 10 trifecta of a USA Pro Championship, Hazy/Addicts Tourney Championship, and the Pro World Tournament Championship.

TE Wolverine
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=529158
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=529158
Rationale: Wolverine is GLB's all time leader in pancakes for TE’s with over 300 in his career, and he has an additional pair of WL pancake trophies on top of this record (along with two APL gold and two APL silver pancake trophies.) He was a part of two APL Championships with Doinitin Djibouti as well as AAA and AA titles as they rose through the ranks, and he played a crucial role in the Ministry of Dotball’s WL silver team trophy in Season 13. He barely hit double digits in receptions over the course of his last nine seasons, but that merely serves as a testament to his singular focus on being the best blocking TE in the game.

C Aggressive Behavior
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=659435
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=659435
Rationale: Aggressive Behavior started his career with one of the first slow build teams, the Chernobyl Meltdowns. In Season 11, he joined the Manitoba Matadors and helped lead them to a perfect 20-0, a gold trophy in CPL, and a berth in the World League. In Season 12, despite going 7-9, he picked up a gold trophy for pancakes and led a brutal running attack. He has since played with the Buffalo Rampage (WL) and Ministry of Dotball (WL) and now joins the Santiago Spider Monkeys (SAPL) in their quest to make it to the World League. In the 5 seasons since the MVP calculations have been out, he has been rated the #1 C in his conference every single season.

OG Danny "Lockdown" Hughes
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=189578
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=189578
Rationale: With 2,300+ career pancakes for this mauler on the right side, Hughes spent most of his career in USA AAA and USAPL (with the Washington Wolfpack and the Lincoln Navigators) before heading to the WL with Lincoln for Seasons 12 & 13 and then on to WEPL for his final season. The definition of a run-blocking guard, he always matched up against hole-plugging NT's and was always winning battles to clear a path for his running back. He was consistently ranked as the best, or among the top 5 guards in his league since the rankings were implemented, and he continued to dominate well into his decline.

OG Pepper Lewis
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=31039
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=31039
Rationale: Pepper doesn't have the insane pancake numbers that some others can boast, but was a major factor on the O-line for two of GLB's all-time Pro powerhouses: the Arctic Bay Yetis and the Monmouth Evil Monkeys. He played in 7 championship games (3 CPL, 3 USAPL, 1 CAN AAA) winning four and blocked for some great HB's along the way: Carreno, McGriff, Csonka, E.D. Jackson, Cooter. He had an outstanding Season 8 for MEM, leading the way for Csonka on his defense-crushing binge.

OT Jessica Biel
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=29286 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=29286
Rationale: Biel was known as one of the best pass-blocking tackles around. She faced some loaded D-Lines while with the Adriana Lima Beans in CPL and in the WL with the Krazy Monkeys and she earned her reputation as a rare OT that could contain GLB's sack-crazed DE's. Her ability to move with the pass rusher and stay in control was impressive, as was her skill in the open field when getting out in front of screens passes, two tasks she would routinely perform with ease. Her 200+ pancake season in the WL proved that she was not simply an agility monster, but a tenacious blocker that could get mean when she needed to.

NT Big Leon Lett
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=348079
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=348079
Rationale: Big Leon Lett is known to many as the most dominant NT to ever play the game. In GLB's early days, when many viewed the NT position as simply a plug used to hog space, Lett was making plays all over the field, tallying six 100-tackle seasons in his first 10 seasons. Lett further went on to win 3 defensive MVP awards - a feat unheard of from the NT position. While he never did test himself in the World League his numbers in AA, AAA, and Pro leagues are hard to ignore.

DT Adam Avalanche
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=33275 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=33275
Rationale: Avalanche was one of the most successful DTs to ever play the game. He tallied six conference and three league championships, spanning from Season 1 to Season 11, and while his stats may not speak as loudly as some other DTs on this list, the true extent of Avalanche's skill is best seen when watching his play on the field. A DT that excelled at both stopping the run and rushing the passer, Avalanche was a DT that every team wanted, and no team wanted to game plan against.

DT Merlin Olsen
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=32207 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=32207
Rationale: Merlin Olsen was one of the most dominant D-Line forces USAPL has ever seen. He lead USAPL in Sacks, Hurries, and Forced Fumbles in consecutive seasons and was regularly the highest rated DT in his conference. In the 10 seasons he spent in USAPL, Olsen was a part of six conference championships and three league championships while playing on three different teams. What makes Olsen’s success so impressive is the fact that his entire career was played at the top levels of GLB. Be it USAPL in its prime or the World League's inaugural seasons, Olsen was constantly facing off against some of the best O-Lines GLB had to offer and more often than not he came out on the winning side.

DT Need Ur Love
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=267528
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=267528
Rationale: Need Ur Love seemed to spend more time in the backfield than most RBs. During an absolutely insane six-season stretch, Need Ur Love recorded consecutive 100 tackle seasons. Even more impressive was the fact that he racked-up 264 TFL’s during that time frame. He was an OC's worst nightmare. Running to the left was simply not an option with him on the field and passing was a gamble at best. His 300+ career sacks and 650+ career hurries are all the proof you need that RBs weren't the only players he was harassing in the backfield. His career was highlighted by 3 MVP awards and 7 hurry trophies (including 5 golds).

DT Vanilla Ice
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=70751 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=70751
Rationale: For a period of about 5 seasons, Vanilla Ice was arguably the most dominating force in all of GLB. Whether he lined up at DT or NT he was a threat for a sack or TFL on every single snap. During his amazing 136 tackle, 57 sack performance in season 8, he only failed to record a sack twice in 20 games and over the course of his relatively short career he was even more outstanding in playoff games, averaging 5 tackles, 2 hurries, a sack and a TFL in his 19 playoff appearances. But sadly, Ice decided to leave at the top of his game. Despite only playing for 10 seasons, however, his numbers compare favorably to DTs that played 2-3 more seasons than him.

RDE GReddy Twin Turbo
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=159509
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=159509
Rationale: GReddy was a speed rushing RDE that played top level competition his entire career. He played for the Dryden Blues of CPL from S2-9, joined Halifax during the merger in S10 and was a part of their S11 and S12 WL titles. GReddy was a steady force, tearing up his competition season after season - tallying 322 sacks and 265 hurries (all at the Pro level) and winning three gold sack trophies while in CPL. In the S11 Halifax WL championship run, GReddy notched 14 tackles, 8 sacks, 3 hurries and 2 TFLs, a stellar performance on the biggest stage.

RDE Haufu Gurugatuppa
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=71920 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=71920
Rationale: Haufu was an absolute monster in SEAPL for a many seasons. He spent Seasons 2-10 with the Bangkok Tweetys before moving to the East St. Louis Tire Fires in S11 and going on to the WL with ESL in S12. He was an elite RDE that put up ridiculous numbers, finishing his career with 526 sacks, 426 hurries, and 234 TFLs, a Season 11 MVP trophy and seven gold or silver SEAPL sack trophies. In the S11 playoffs with ESL, Haufu put up 27 sacks and 8 TFLs in 4 games. In his Season 12 WL run, Haufu finished with 59 tackles including 25 TFLs, 4 sacks and 25 hurries.

LDE Jimmy Johnston
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=185734
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=185734
Rationale: JJ is probably the most dominating DE in the history of GLB. He spent S4-9 in WEPL with the Aberdeen Wrecking Crew before moving to USAPL with the Monmouth Evil Monkeys in S10, and going to the WL for S11-13. His stats are staggering: 1,344 tackles including 299 TFLs, 445 sacks, 321 hurries and 78 forced fumbles. He boasts a USAPL MVP, two WL MVP's, and the Hazy/Addicts tourney MVP for S10. He has 15 gold Pro level trophies in forced fumbles, sacks, hurries and tackles. He was the face of one of the best D-Lines in GLB history.

RDE People's Elbow
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=116138 (Retired)

Rationale: The Elbow was one of the most feared pass rushers in the game out of the RDE position. Beginning in the Canadian lower leagues, he moved to SEAPL with the Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon from S4-6. He took S7 off and eventually resurfaced in WEPL with the Black Forest Mercenaries from S9-10 before jumping to the WL with the Monmouth Evil Monkeys in S11-12. Over the span of his career he totaled over 580 sacks and 500 hurries. He helped his teams win four titles (two at the Pro level), and earned five Pro level gold individual trophies, as well as a S10 WEPL MVP. In two WL seasons, he was solidly productive including a couple of monster games in S11 (MPHD and Hali), with 43 tackles, 13 TFLs, and 7 sacks in the very difficult season12.

RDE Reggie Whitehead
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=104858 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=104858
Rationale: Reggie was a speedy RDE that spent the bulk of his career climbing the ranks with the Las Vegas Gamblers, landing in USAPL in Season 7 and staying through Season 9. Leaving Las Vegas for a short stay with the Guadalcanal Gunners of OPL, he returned to USAPL with the Washington Wolfpack and then finished with a WL stint with the Lincoln Navigators. He amassed 390+ sacks and 330+ hurries and got most of his numbers at the Pro level despite not getting there until mid-way through his career. He earned MVP's in the USAPL and the Addicts Tourney and his WL play was highlighted by his 9 sacks and 15 tackles in Lincoln's run to the Conference Championship that included 4 sacks in the conference championship loss to Hali.

MLB/LILB Buster Stone
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=30226
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=30226
Rationale: Mirroring his teammate Ben Randall on the other side of the ball, Stone was the leader of the defense for the Santiago Benitos during their 10-season SAPL reign. He continued his terrorizing ways in the WL winning his third defensive MVP in Season 12 (after securing the award in SAPL S9 & S10.) In his amazing career, Stone racked up over 1,500 tackles, 100 forced fumbles, 100 sacks, and 400 PDs and he has played in 46(!) playoff games. His combined 10 trophies for league championships & MVP's are a target for all young GLB defenders to shoot for, though very few will ever achieve such a daunting level of success.

LB Clay Matthews ™
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=40121 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=40121
Rationale: Matthews was far and away the leader of the defense for every team he played on, and by an impressive ratio. Matthews put up strong and consistent numbers for overall tackles, sacks and forced fumbles, and those numbers are equally impressive in close games and losses as they are in blowout victories. He helped the Columbus Crush rise through the ranks to USAPL in his early seasons, and made a splash in SAPL for the San Jose Snakes on a Plane in his later years. He blew past the 100-tackle mark in eight consecutive Pro+ seasons, including his last in the WL for So Cal.

MLB Dan Dominate
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=27228
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=27228
Rationale: Dan was, simply put, a one-man defensive show. Equally adept at stuffing inside runs and chasing down HB's releasing from the backfield. Dan consistently led the defensive statistics for his team in almost every pass and run category year in and year out. The heart of the defense for the Reading Redskins and Marblehead Longhorns of CPL, he also shone in the WL for two seasons. He has a solid trophy case, managing a CPL defensive MVP and leading the team to three conference championships and one CPL championship.

OLB Denver LastDinosaur
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=106064 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=106064
Rationale: Denver LastDinosaur signed with So Cal after Season 3 when jdr0s took a chance on him to fill in a hole in BDC's new 3-4 defense ... Denver was a perfect fit and he became the star of one of GLB's top defensive units. In nine Pro and World League seasons, Denver averaged 121 tackles and 42 sacks per season and forced nearly 100 fumbles in his career. He also compiled 25 individual awards, including the inaugural World League defensive MVP and three Pro League MVPs. At various points in his career, he led his league in tackles, sacks, hurries, and forced fumbles. Denver's 13-year career ended spectacularly, following up his best statistical season by helping So Cal BDC to their first-ever OPL Championship.

MLB/LILB Liquid Rush
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=72472
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=72472
Rationale: Aptly named, Liquid Rush flowed around the field with ease - this dot was everywhere. As perhaps the best coverage LB in GLB, Liquid did more than shut down opposing receivers (350+ PD’s and 40+ INT’s), he also found himself in the opponent's backfield on a regular basis, picking up nearly 250 career TFL’s and more than 120 hurries. Liquid was never a sack machine, but effectively shut down both the run and the pass from his MLB spot. He was a member of the Mata-Utu Voodoo for two OPL championship appearances and earned a silver trophy for Forced Fumbles and a bronze for INT’s while playing with them in the WL.

ROLB Sacker Backer
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=566002
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=566002
Rationale: Sacler Backer is a late Season 2 dot that has been dominant at each step of the way as his team has risen through the ranks. His blitz barrage has netted him sack titles from Canada A all the way up to the World League. His eight gold sack-leader trophies (S5 Can A, S6 Can AA, S8 Can AAA, S10,11,12 CPL, S13, 14 WL) are evidence of his consistency - as are his raw sack totals ... nearly 800(!) in his career with 8 seasons of 50+. His team, the Kansas City Rams, has won titles and he has five MVP's at the Pro/WL level, with an Addicts tourney MVP as well.

CB Antonio Lopez
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=50442 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=50442
Rationale: A big reason for the Emmaus Fighting Green Hornets' pair of EEPL titles, Lopez topped all Eastern Europe defenders in PD's before moving on to grab INT trophies in back-to-back WL seasons. Paired with Asante Samuel for part of his career - making one of the most dominant 1-2 CB combos around - Antonio was a playmaker. He dared QBs to throw his way throughout his career and finished with over 40 INTs, 500 PDs, and 600 tackles. Along the way, he showed that he was one of the best in EEPL, SEAPL, and the WL.

CB Asante Samuel
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=30251 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=30251
Rationale: Asante, the other half of the deadly duo for Emmaus in EEPL for two seasons, was the true definition of a shutdown corner. While there, he put up a staggering ratio of nearly 2 PD's to every tackle and dominated WR's. He played in the Season 1 USAPL title game (for the San Jose Spartans) and spent a few seasons in Canada - winning a pair of CPL championships with the Arctic Bay Yetis. He played just one season in the WL, but proved successful in shutting down WRs in the toughest league in GLB. With 80+ career INT's, a handful of Pro league titles, and a career spent facing the best competition available, Samuel was one of the best.

CB Sandesh Pawar
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=27025 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=27025
Rationale: The original shutdown CB, in eight USAPL seasons, Pawar played in six championship games and almost single-handedly won the Season 6 title for the Boston Nighthawks, recording 6 tackles, 3 PDs, 3 INTs, and a defensive TD in their 33-21 win in the title game. He continued to shine after moving up to the WL with Monmouth in season 11. Playing in what was considered a "loaded" WL conference that season, he played 732 plays, nearly all at CB1 and gave up a total of 13 receptions. Pawar was equally tough against the run, often coming up to stop pitches to his side and chasing down runners across the field.

SS Deadpool
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=26298
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=26298
Rationale: The original shutdown SS, Deadpool didn't make his living solely as a pass or run defender, he was among the best, if not THE best, at both for most of his career. Deadpool made the rounds of every elite league in GLB, striking fear into the hearts of OCs in USAPL, CPL and the WL as well. 25% of his INTs were returned for TDs, proving that Deadpool wasn't just great at defending the ball, but could also make magic happen with it in his hands. A glance at his numbers shows off an exemplary career: 375+ PDs, 38 INTs (10 pick-6's), 1,000+ tackles (including 51 PDs, 6 INTs, 2 TDs and 162 tackles in 33 playoff games), and he is to date probably the best overall SS to ever play the game.

FS Frank Stallone
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=91796 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=91796
Rationale: Unlike most FS's that are focused primarily on coverage duties, Stallone was known for his hard-hitting, intimidating style of play that made WRs, TEs, and HBs run for cover for many seasons in SEAPL and the WL. In the process of winning four league championships (3 in SEAPL), his fearsome style of play led to trophies for forced fumbles and tackles, and he also racked-up awards that CBs usually dominate for INT's and PD's. Over his career, he accounted for a total of 772 tackles, 43 INT's, 16 forced fumbles, 293 PDs, and 15 mental breakdowns for opposing OC's.

FS Taxi Driver
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=361984
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=361984
Rationale: Taxi Driver was at his best against the best, bringing home late-career INT trophies in USAPL and the WL after a solid career in SEAPL. His Season 13 run for Chocolate City in the WL was highlighted by a six-game stretch with at least one pick in each game and he added to his INT title that season by reaching the QB for 12 sacks and scoring 6 defensive TD’s. He seemed to cover the entire field and his will to make the play often propelled him past teammates like a missile to the point of contact.

KR #13 Britney Spears
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=244517 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=244517
Rationale: Spears is perhaps the greatest returner in GLB history. She boasts five gold individual awards from the WLe and another five from USAPL in addition to numerous silver and bronze trophies. She also laid claim to the Season 9 TOC MVP as a returner, and she played in three championship games, helping the Las Vegas Gamblers to the USAPL crown in Season 8. With over 40,000 kickoff and punt return yards in her career, Spears will be a dot that future returners will be compared to for seasons to come.

K Ray Finkle
Link: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=29464 (Retired)
Awards: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_awards.pl?player_id=29464
Rationale: Look up Kicker in GLB Dictionary and there it says Ray Finkle, though his career would take 10 pages to sum up. He made six appearances in USAPL title games, winning it 3 times. Finkle had two perfect seasons (Season 6, 30/30, and Season 12, 35/35). He had 9 seasons where he missed 4 or fewer field goals and was an astonishing 76/79 in Season 3 - a season in which he went 20/22 in four playoff games en route to winning the USAPL crown with the Kalamazoo Coyotes. He almost literally won the Coyotes a championship single-handedly, scoring 62 of their 79 points in their final 3 playoff games, an astonishing feat. Well into decline in Season 13, he still pulled off a 41/44 campaign. Finkle finished off his spectacular career with two WL Special Teams MVP Trophies.

Bugs were taken into consideration, but that was part of the game and its hard to tell who was bugged who wasn't. I just don't see eliminating someone because you felt they were bugged when others may have been bugged as well.

I think it's pretty easy to tell it's a bug when you go from 30+ sacks to 2 sacks.
