Can we just remove this one? I mean why should their reaction be any different than on 1st and 2nd down?

I imagine it's to account for the inability to change settings by down. Basically, there's nothing in player tactics that allows a dot to treat 3rd & long the way any reasonable defender would.

Why not make them pass defense oriented on 3rd and 4+? I certainly don't think the reaction bonus makes sense at all. Unless its the same bonus as being on pass defense. Doesn't seem like it is tho.

I provide an offense that spreads the legs of the defense and delivers the coconuts in a variety of ways.

Believe it or not, 3rd down completion rates were higher than 1st & 2nd consistently until this was implemented. Check the test game logs. It's well documented.

Well yea and that's mostly due to Mr Reliable. Bort could've fixed that by toning the Mr Reliable % down some.

I'd like to hear more on how this change works in better detail. Don't think i like it if it works as some say

Definitely should only be for 3rd-and-5+ at the very least tbh.

So we have offensive VA's that buff their 3rd down performance so we change the sim to help the defense counter act that performance....

Really? Just keep everything balanced and remove VA's....

Then also give a bonus on 3rd/4th and short...
