Yea, just saw Borts announcement. FS and SS limited in where they can start also. Those and LB stuff doesn't impact me much, but the new NT and DE spots sure hurt.

That is true. Also don't plan on transferring these plays anymore. Or at least the scripts that I have didn't work.

This new DPC DL and LB alignment is going to make Running the ball extremely advantages because you won't be able to cover the gaps like we used to.

Normal I formation is getting a huge boost because you can run to both sides and OG's are going just take off and pick the LB's off and make HUGE holes for the HB/FB!

As a Long time DC this is complete crap and has screwed all DC's!

And you can get your QB a little work by running the HB pass to both sides....nobody on D will be there.

so im wondering something Catch, you said previously that our old plays will not be erased but instead have the player alignments reset to the new standards based on their positioning. When i scroll over my old plays that i cant open they still look the same so im wondering what exactly happened to them cause i cant tell by looking at the mouse over.

I wonder this because if some of my plays are still viable for this season i would like to keep using them but if they have indeed been fucked with and players are now out of position i need to get hot on fixing them under the new system.

I believe at this point the LB changes have been covered so we all understand they can't do any read blitzes (cover X Y Z, or blitz) without being in specific positions. What about CBs and FS/SS? Can they read blitz anymore? If so, do they default to some position on the field to do this? I know many DCs use CB/FS/SS read blitzes and we're wondering if this has been impacted.

I don't know where you read that the old plays won't be erased. I read the opposite, that they will be locked but still usable for S20, then erased at the end of S20. If you want to have your old plays set to the new standards, then you need to click on the copy button to the right of the play name and it will be converted to the new format.

There needs to be a spread setup for LB's especially in a 3/4 set up. I have quick outside linebackers and went with str DE's due to the fact i run a 3/4 and now my balls are cut off cuz all i can do is blitz the linebackers inside the DE's WTH

I can understand not allowing us to edit and change existing plays, but why can't we look at our old plays to see how we had assignments setup?

For the record, I think this change has really hurt the game. One of the things I love about this game is the planning and strategy on the defensive side. I feel like part of what I enjoy in this game was taken away. I don't want to play an arcade game, where I am pigeon holed into a small amount of options.

We changed how we were doing things. Initially what I posted above was the plan. It is no longer. If you don't want your plays to be wiped, you will need to copy them.
