Right now, when people make dots, they have a choice of whether or not to let their build be open to everyone, closed to everyone, or open just to their owner or teammates. Problem is, there is apparently a huge epidemic of team owners benching and rotting dots with closed builds, based on what people have been telling me in PMs. (I don't see many actual examples of it in the game itself, but I'm sure people wouldn't be lying to me in PMs, so I'll trust them.)

Obviously, the only solution is to force everyone to keep their builds hidden and to take away the Attributes Sharing Option.

Sure, the downside is that nobody would be able to just easily glance at your build if you want to ask them for build advice, even if you wanted them to be able to see it. But that's a small price to pay to end the massive and prevalent scourge of owners benching and rotting dots over their builds being hidden. EVERYTHING is worth sacrificing in order to make sure that some prick of an owner doesn't EVER try to rot or bench a dot, and that includes having the choice to open or hide your build. Get rid of that choice.

Hey, you don't have a choice on whether or not to open or hide your Tactics either, and nobody misses that, right?

Recruiting would be an even bigger pain in the ass than it already is in it's current state. It's bad enough to be forced to look through a ton of shitty open builds to find a less terrible build. I couldn't imagine PMing every single FA at this site in order to just see their builds. Not only that, but owners/coordinators would have to constantly PM agents in order to keep up with the dot's build after they are signed (for game planning purposes).

Lets just have all the owners and coordinators go into game planning completely blind and hope for the best...

"Are you sure you have all your EQ in speed?" "Its over the 2nd cap right?"

Then the HB can't even get to the corner let alone around it and up field... "I thought you said strength"

Lets make major changes because a few agents don't get along with there owners....

Doesn't matter, Dub J. People have been telling me in PMs that their dots get benched and rotted when they refuse to open their builds. Ending that is PARAMOUNT. Sorry if it'll make recruiting more difficult for you, but it's a small price to pay to stop such a serious and widespread-* problem.





* - And by "widespread," I mean that people have been PM'ing me to say it's widespread, not that I've actually seen any evidence that it really is widespread. But it must be happening a LOT, or else people wouldn't be so worried about it, right?

Why would anyone want to be able to share their Tactics too? It'd just be one more thing for team owners to bench-and-rot dots over when they keep Tactics hidden, just like they do now when Builds are hidden.

Remember, that bench-and-rot thing happens a LOT. It's WIDESPREAD.

Forcing all builds to hidden would be a much bigger headache. I disagree on your paramount argument.

Bench and rot is not some huge issue. And people tend to ignore those owners/teams anyways.
