I know this probably doesn't bother most people, in fact I'm sure most people don't even realise but in this game the NT and DT are effectively switched round in their positions on the line in any 4 front package that you can create. (unless you specifically set the line to a weak alignment)
To take the 'Strong' Front which is one of the more common fronts used in football; you will have a NT and a DT playing the 1 tech and 3 tech respectively. So in a Strong front you would have the NT aligned on a weak shade of the Centre, with the DT aligned on a strong shade of the guard. This however isn't the case in GLB with the exact opposite being enforced.
Now I this may seem a quite superficial to the casual observer, however in footballing terms and more importantly GLB terms this has repercussions. The NT in most fronts should be the larger 'run stuffing' player who commands double teams (eg. Pat Williams), where the DT tends to be more the more disruptive, penetrating player (eg. Warren Sapp, Albert Heynesworth).
In game the NT should realistically be a more strength based player, where the DT should be more of a blend of strength and agility. However the real difference in game would be the D-Line General SA which only NT's can access, which when playing a 3 front, works fine, however if you are playing a 4 front means that instead of the the NT (player over Centre) having the SA, it is in fact the DT who is often over guard. If we are serious about creating a football sim which is representative of real life then this should be reversed to bring it in line with the majority of real life defences.
