Then he stays paused for a few ticks after pass is thrown, then he goes back to rushing the QB. Since DE had already come to a complete stop when QB was throwing the pass, once the ball is thrown, DE should be trying to chase the HB.

It is not the DE stopping when ball is thrown and then continuing to try and rush the QB after he has already thrown the ball.

2 different scenarios.

He continues right past the QB as well. I can see a couple of ticks after the ball is thrown before he turns around to chase the HB depending on Agility, Vision. But the stopping before the pass is even thrown is strange.

Sure. Which makes his stopping even sillier.

Either he shouldn't stop and just keep going for the QB, or he should stop and then turn around and chase the HB.

He shouldn't stop, wait for the ball to be thrown, let the QB charge him, then charge the QB.

Probably the opposite way, ie set on 100 passive. He rush, then stops to make his vision check but fail it. Pretty lame looking, but the DE make the vision check when the HB move past him, which is reasonable. A better option is the DE skipping the vision check if he is so close to the QB.

If the DE is set on aggressive that is major lol.

The DE's do intentionally pause/freeze when a screen pass is thrown but after the pass is thrown the DE should pursue the HB, not continue to pursue the QB. Looks like this is only happening for SG HB Screen Weak, so filing as a bug to fix the behavior for that play.
