He doesn't even seem to care that the ball is flying past him. Perhaps he was temporarily blinded by the stadium lights. Or maybe he was playing pocket pool. Regardless, this shouldn't have happened to our opponent today.

Pretty sure the PR doesn't move if he passes a vision check that makes him believe it'll be a touchback (whether it actually does go in to the endzone or not):

Maybe it's just me but I see a big difference between the OP replay and the 3 you posted. The OP replay the ball strikes originally around the 20 and should have been attempted to be fielded. The nearest the original ball strike in your 3 replays is around the 10 yard line.

That would explain it if the PR weren't standing on the 26 yd line. In your examples, the PR is within spitting distance of the endzone, so I can understand why he didn't move.

It's the concept, not positioing of the dots. That dot averages approximately 30 yards a punt (hence the positiong of the PR). The punter boomed a 55 yard punt that the PR thought was going in to the endzone for a touchback (hence, why he didn't go anywhere).

Here's a better example: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1621032&pbp_id=8155031 Returner on the 8, ball lands on the 12. Ball had a shot at going in th endzone (next play runs from the 1.5).

I'm pretty sure this is working as intended the way Farlig described. If there's an issue with returners simply freezing, then to prove it you'd need to find some replays where they freeze and the ball does not finish near the goalline. I'm going to close this one up, but you're welcome to create a new thread if you see that happen.
