Minor typo there basically ruins your point.

Now, what is the reasoning on why a player should not be able to get faked out of bounds? There isn't a wall there, if a player is watching the QB (pump fake) or watching the player (catch fake) why can't they not be paying attention to where they are on the field and run out of bounds when a player suddenly changes directions near the sidelines?

I do think players need to pay better attention to the bounds of the field but i don't think there should be a giant white wall that prevents players from ever straying out of bounds, especially with a fake.

So i'd have to say -1 to just not allowing it. If there's a bug causing it, go ahead and fix it, or if it's too prevalent. But disallowing it just because, it's not really a reason i could support.

I have not seen where this is prevalent. I would think it very much has to do with vision & agility. If your on the sidelines and fall for the fake then I see no problem with it. Just because a player is faked out of bounds doesn't mean it needs fixing. If you want to see if it's broken send to bugs, it probably belongs there anyway.

You think that any football player in any league above Pop Warner would be faked so badly he runs into the cheerleaders?????

Get real. Its not a feature, its a bug or bad design. It should be fixed by fixing the code not telling people "build better dots" FFS.

Pretty much this. From the very beginning stages of youth football, you are taught that the out of bounds line is an invisible wall on defense and can be used to your advantage as such. Insinuating that any real football player at any level would get faked into running out of bounds to defend a play is ludicrous. Whether it's a bug or general game design flaw is debatable, but by the definition of a bug - chances are they would lock the bug thread as working as intended and would send you here to create a suggestion to fix it (seems to be the norm in bugs).

If defender is looking back at the QB, running full speed toward the sidelines and get pump faked towards it you think you are always going to be to stop there. Yeah you're right, never happens in football. Guys never fall for pump fakes even when the QB is past the LOS, oh that's right they do. Firstly, this is dotball, not football and vision and agility come into play on everything to do with fakes, so where did I say build better dots exactly? Secondly, I am pretty sure I said if you want to know if it's broken send it to bugs which is where this belongs anyway.

+1. I just don't see this being an accurate representation of football. I understand this is dotball but these dots shouldn't be goign out of bounds. MAYBE in peewee, but besides that it's just unrealistic. And the last time I checked everyone seems to want the most realistic sim as possible.

Did you even bother to post this to the Bugs forum, or are you still beating your wife?

Does vision help a Dots field awareness? like how close they are to the sideline, or where the first down marker is? If there is, then this may be why a Dot would be faked out of bounds and I would -1. but if there is no knowledge of field presence for a dot, then maybe it should be added.
