here's the punter in question: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1653141&playoffs=0

during s23, he was moving up about 10 spots per game and finished the season at 271. over the next 3 seasons, he punted 552 times for 27,284 yards (49.4 avg) and finished 4th in wl, 4th in pro and 2nd in usa pro. yet, we go into season 27 with him still stuck at 271. the players in front of him are all long time retired/inactive. the hof script is verified to be running, but it doesnt make any sense that he's completely stopped moving upward. here's the guy directly in front of him http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1252109&playoffs=0.

it seems pretty consistent across the board in HOF rankings that there are players ranked above others despite having inferior statistics. If they are not all being compared by the same methodology, IE blowout adjusted stats etc it seems like a pretty worthless ranking.

in this scenario if you take the older player in question and reflect blowout adjusted stats it shows no statistics for seasons 8-12. His fame is lower then guppys guy so not sure how that plays into it....

but i think guppy has a solid point....more transparency is needed in the determination of the HOF rankings....
