For many seasons, a lot of people have been barking about passing being over powered and the rushing game being under powered here in Pee-Wee. Well with the new changes, passing seems like it was nerfed some and rushing seems to be buffed some. Isn't that exactly what people have been asking for?

The last time major changes to the sim went in, people barked about it since it didn't work the same as before. Well, what did they expect?!? With any major change to the system like this, it takes a season for teams to adjust to the changes and then another season for teams to find the new FOTM plays.

The changes are in place and NOTHING we say will have any effect on that. Plus we have only seen the impact on very low level players so far. Who knows how things will work later this season and next season. So people can either bitch and moan like ignorant fools about the new changes, or study them and make the needed adjustments. Give it a season or two and then comment on how changes changes work when you have some solid experience with the changes. It's way too soon to make a judgement on them yet.

I think the new blocking changes have been awesome. There are some quirks (QBs tucking and running for no reason, and apparently special teams has issues in the higher leagues) but overall, I think the game is much more balanced now. Interior run game is great, which terrifies me a little bit that I can't make a perfect defense simply by stacking the edges. :/

Pee Wee teams will likely have to be the fastest to adapt, just because we have the ability to change loadouts.

//edit: I say this now that they seem to have changed pee wee passing so it's not 25% bad throws. That was awful on day -8.

I agree with Gerr. It seems like it was horrible on day -8, but since they made the changes on day -7, it seems like passing is not as powerful as it once was, but is still a good option, and running is also possible, although not as good as it was in the slamball seasons. That is basically what we have been asking for since season 12, so I'm pretty happy about it.

I guess I need to test these changes out for myself. But a less powerful passing game and a slightly improved rushing game seems to be what they would call "balanced"

I really haven't watched a game yet but honestly I would rather be able to pass every play than rush. If the sin truely is balanced then great but if they just buffed rushing a little and nerfed passing then I won't be very happy with the sim. Again I don't know though I haven't watched any games yet

As long as playoff time passing works better, than I'm fine. Early on passing should suck

Well so much for running

Feb 19, 2012
- Adjusted defense reaction ability slightly better vs the run
- Adjusted run blocking balance slightly toward the defender's favor

- Adjusted QB risk/patience values for defenders in endzone to fix some issues with the ball being held too long
- Fixed issue with punt return gunners turning around before the punt instead of heading to PR

Yes. The damn QB pulling up and running instead of throwing to the wide open targeted receiver is annoying me quite a bit. Especially when my QBs are set to Never/Never.

They readjusted it according to Catch so it works a little better now after that changelog was posted

The way the passing boost works (it scales), bit's not uncommon for passing to be getting worse come playoff time, right around the time that DB's start getting good.
After iStoner, LobsterWeed, PermaStoned, EatDaBeaver & Tomlinator....I'm the 2nd best!
