54 seconds to go before half and we pass the ball for 14 yards. Instead of calling timeout it allowed the clock to run down to 20 seconds. Instead of calling a timeout at 20 seconds it ran another pass play. (it essentially went from 54 seconds down to 14 seconds before calling 1st timeout)


The half ended with us still having a timeout with the ball around the opponents 30 YD line. Why did it not call a timeout after the pass play at 54 seconds?

It's working as intended. Here is our 2nd quarter timeout logic for 1st/2nd down:

2nd Quarter, Offense, Time <= 45
Down = 1-2
Spot = Own 35 to Opp 10
Form = Offense*
TOL = 2+

Team is not "in range" so timeout is not called. After the next pass play the team is in range and a timeout is called.
