I couldn't find an unlocked thread where this was adressed so I'm making a new thread.
4 man rush, just the D-line
RT is mtched up against the LDE, no one else is coming, LB's and secondary are all lined up far enough away from the LOS for it to be obvious that the RT is blocking the LDE. But instead the RT just kind of sidesteps about 3 yards to his right and lets the LDE just run through the hole he just created.

There is no one for the RT to even try to be blocking over there, seems like odd behavior and I'm not sure if it was intended.

That's really weird. Do you have additional replays?

I think it's the Pro Set formation as I see it happening on the left side as well.

These are different. In these two examples, the LT drops a touch too fast or a touch too deep -- do we know if the OT has first step? In the past I've seen bug reports that show this example. Most all of those OT's had pretty high level First Step as well as high agility.

Looks like the way point is broken.

I ran that play a couple times in yesterday's game so I took a look. A few of them look as though the OT might be trying to do the same, but corrects his path to block. Notice how wide the OT gets. The tackles are fast so usually get back to their way point before the DEs get close. Look at the LOT, the ROT usually does the same. Although, these examples aren't as extreme as the OP.

No not yet, if I see more I'll post more if this thread is still open.

Your replays look pretty normal to me Dr. E. Nothing like what MHS posted in the OP.

MHS - I'll leave this in Bug Main for a while - then move it to NMI from there. We can let it sit open for the time being while the community keeps an eye out for similar plays.

Peace,

Yea, they do look normal, unless you take notice that the LOT doesn't go to his way point. Now there are reasons they wont, if the rusher for example gets to them before they reach the way point.

That looks to be WAI, as he has no threat, he defaults to forming the pocket.
Looks cluncky, but is required.

Might be different if he ignored an obvious threat.

There does look to be an issue here, most likely to do with the speed difference between builds in play... but again if its consistent then it needs fixing.

I'll trawl through the Filed/Fixed Reports for similarities pre recent blocking code changes, could be an exsisting known issue that wasnt covered in those as looks familiar to me from that one replay.

Certainly Need More Replays though.

From just this thread, it looks like an issue with ProSet vs a 4 man front, any other formations having this obvious an issue?

LT ignores RDE because of blitzing MLB

Looks like simpler blocking logic where the C takes the MLB and the LT takes the RDE would have made more sense.

I have been seeing this more this season than anything else at both tackle positions. I thought this was fixed a few seasons ago but that play looks like the OT dropped back too far too fast and gave the DE an easy sack.
