I'm also aware that it's only one example but thought it relevant to bring up with all of the sim changes in preseason.

More examples to prove this is an actual issue and not an isolated incident (as there are multiple rolls going on to see if a pass should be thrown) 
Edit: Oh and non-private replays of course would help as though of us that frequent this forum could be looking for similar plays.

Understood but if you can see the replay, you'll note that it's just added fluff. The guy is wide open and the QB is looking directly at him as an assigned progression.

I can find hundreds of videos of real life QBs doing this. Looking directly at a wide open player while the player is raising their hand saying I'm wide open, and the QB doesn't throw to him.
