Today's Blocking fix:
Fixed a pass blocking logic bug causing G and OT to sometimes swap assignments

Something is not right since this change. The guard/tackle interaction is now messed up. Sometimes the LT will even pass on outside blocking to move inside after the NT or MLB. In others, they just don't get their assignments straight and they blow the blocking. There are a few in which the center moves outside to block, then hits a "wall" and stops instead of blocking, but not many links yet with that behavior and it was also before this latest blocking change. So many different examples of the O line moving in "messed up" manner it's hard to pin down what is going on. Note on builds and tactics, all but one guard is pass blocking archetype, tactic is pass block, they all have the pass blocking VAs and are build mobile with vision/agility as opposed to the standard strength builds.

Seen a lot of this in private scim from today. Also LG and RG switches.

Expect more replays today after WL play and tommorow when nat-pro get into the action.

Looked at all of those replays. Only one is remotely what I would call buggy.

Yea, I figured most would be judged as not a bug. Most are no doubt doing what they are suppose to do, but where else does one post something that needs a tweak? The guards didn't move like that yesterday, so we know that today's change caused this. Question now is, was issue that caused guards to "sometimes swap assignments" to almost always be in the wrong place what Bort wants. If it's what he wants, I'll take my licks this season, dump the pass blocking line next season, have the HB/FB change their VA points, and build me a nice simple ground & pound offense. I figure those who tried to pass and haven't already changed over to a run game will either reset or convert to a run game.

On the two teams who are unfortunate to have me as the OC, I have been trying for the last three seasons to get a grip on the passing game. I've always thought it was my poor choice of custom progression, or the build on the QBs. The changes in s27 were encouraging to me. My thoughts on how the passing game works seemed to be more in line with the sim. The most recent changes have made me even happier with how my passing game is progressing. Granted, I have a lot of work yet.

So - you say the changes today made your passing game less successful, and you want to switch to a ground-n-pound. I've found that the adjustments seem to have made my passing game more successful.

Possibly. Mine are all pass blocking archetypes with pass blocking VA build to get there and get in the way with QBs build to find a target fast as opposed to an O line that stands there all day and holding a block, the latter of course is what most people would want, but it's unrealistic. Now what's happening is they are suddenly not getting there. They did yesterday. Knowing that last fact tells me it's something out of my control, something that changed between yesterday and today. Now, your claim that your passing game is better since it's getting hurried and throwing more bad passes is just silly. It might be true it's more realistic, and I've no complaints with that aspect, just the movement of the O line.

If you think it's not a bug and should be closed, based on his comments alone, I'm guessing Catch would second you and it can be locked up. With that done, can you project the outcome? What the trend will be in offenses in GLB, and ask yourself does Bort think that running up the gut 50+ times a game will be a bang in the gaming community and bring lots of gamers to his game.

In most of these, it seems to be cross-blocking where the tackle takes the inside man (most often the DE) and the guard is left confused or tries to take the outside blitzer. Whatever it is, not sure why the guard is not taking the DE, and leaving the tackle to clean up the blocking to the outside. Tackles are typically faster or more agile, and would be more apt to block faster blitzing safeties or corners.

If someone is still trying to show there are issues in blocking, here are a couple I was putting together on centers stopping in their tracks.
