The point is that the FB (or HB) failed the vision check on each of these replays (as evidenced by the vision icon), but still picked up the block.

Maybe it's just me, but only one of those replays is an actual blitz. When the CB's the 4th rusher, he's not technically blitzing, hence the SA shouldn't be active... right?

If it's the player I think it is (can't see the replays from here, but know the OP very well), that CB's only job is to blitz. If it's today's game, the CB's stat line looked good.

Damn, I wish I could look at links from this crappy Lynx browser.

But what I mean is if you only rush 4 men, none of them are defined as blitzing, regardless of what position they're rushing from.

anybody who's going after the QB is considered a blitzer, iirc

Yeah, they changed the language of that VA because 4 rushers is not a blitz. I assumed that means GLB doesn't define a player as blitzing unless there are 5 or more players rushing the QB.

In the description for Fearsome it requires that the player be blitzing and that 5 players are rushing. That means that blitzing and 5 players rushing are not the same thing.

For that matter, the vision check icon only occurs when there is a blitzer.

no....GLB defines a blitzer as any dot rushing the QB

QCBC has always been good with FB's picking up blitzers. Wouldnt surprise me at all if that FB has it all
