yeah, that too, but I've got OTs and Gs with similar SP values that are EL 84, and since they both were 4-major positions after the archetypes got brought in I'd assume they'd have similar ELs.

Now that there is a full generation of archetype players, and then some, It'd be nice if the EL script was run again only considering players created after season 14, day 40.

Effective Level. The number in red next to your player's actual level, e.g. in the one linked, 77/75 means actual level 77, effective level 75. EL is based on the SP value (found below the level) which is how many SPs it would take to get the player from all 0s to their current attributes.

I agree about the continual (at least once a season) need to update this script. As it's already written, I doubt it would take too much effort.

However, they should definitely run it when there is a whole new generation built after a large change (for example archetypes) causes great changes in player builds.

I wouldn't run it every season, kinda makes it bootstrappingly irrelevant as a bench mark. Moving target and all.

Every seven seasons though, from a major change to the build process, that would make sense.

Too many people would quit when their Level/EL went negative, it's better to have average builds a few levels above to make people feel better about the money they are spending.

Yes, stupid people will do this. Stupid people will, however, always be stupid. Since the stupid people demographic is pretty big, there isn't much point in creating a game where it's impossible to be stupid.
