Seriously the "wat" thing is getting annoying, please state your problem with what I write like Luzod does, I respect stuff like that. If you go frame by frame you can see the FB pick up the key block just in time to spring the running back. The only coding thing they can do to stop that is to put a delay into the hold block code instead of it being instant once the blocker meets the defender.

But I'm done with this now, I'm sorry I don't conform to your blind sheepminded everything is absolutely completely broken and awful pack mentality thing you guys got going on, and tried to analyze the problem in depth. Good luck with your crusade

I bolded the statements. I don't understand your reasoning behind the plays that "if the FB was slower" the plays wouldn't be so bad... >_>

I don't want to make holes non existent. The problem is dline is getting pushed back off the LOS way too easily and blocks are being held too easily as well. There is no give and take. Not a lot of pancake/rev cake. Just oline holding their ground and pushing the dline back a couple yards while the HB just plows through. The tackling radius even when being blocked is just fine for the most part, so good that it doesnt even allow hardly for any big gains up the middle anymore unless someone has a really bad run defense in there. Dline just gets no push.

Even then though, the Dline is getting pushed around way too hard. If the LBs weren't placed where they were and if the LG didn't completely ignore them in that series of plays, it would've easily been a TD. If ee comes here and tells me those OLinemen have GL blocker, ill feel a little better.

I know if OL was built properly, this issue probably would not be a factor.

Obviously Guards with 150+ strength isn't ideal for pass blocking anymore.

oh I see. What is ideal?

I blame Tautology. I would have never watched that series if he hadn't pointed it out.

I didn't realize until this thread that I have the best run defense in the WL. For what it's worth, I use 3 DL and generally put my LBs back as far as possible when expecting a run. Stupid and unrealistic, but that's what works best.

Only because OLinemen are dumb and don't go to the second level. Instead they double team for the sake of double teaming. Same problem with FBs.

Seems like that has often been the best approach in GLB over the seasons. Playing your LB's as far back as possible to avoid being sucked in.

Well, I do have some of the best DL in the WL, so it makes a little more sense why they would be double-teamed. When ddingo's NT doesn't get double teamed he can usually shed the block and make a tackle after 1-3 yards. Good luck stopping any run for a loss, though.

Something like

[edit]Offensive Line

[edit]Pass Blocking
Pass Blocker Tackles focus their game on blocking the pass rush. They may find that they have trouble holding back strong defenders in the run game, but they make up for it with the agility to stay in front of their man in the passing game. The Left Tackle in particular must often keep up with fast pass rushers.
(C) 6'0" - 6'4", 230-300 Lbs
(G) 6'2" - 6'5", 290-325 Lbs
(T) 6'2" - 6'6", 280-320 Lbs
Major Agility Blocking Confidence Vision (+.5)
Minor Speed Stamina Strength (+.33)
Bonus SA's (C/G) - Pass Block, Foundation
Bonus SA's (T) - Pass Block, Protector
Penalty SA's - Get Low, Pancake

Yup. Meanwhile you need to play them as close to the line as possible when defending against the pass.

Well...true in most cases although a lot of blitz's are pretty successful due to a LB coming from deep and not being taken account of.
