Well, I do have some of the best DL in the WL, so it makes a little more sense why they would be double-teamed. When ddingo's NT doesn't get double teamed he can usually shed the block and make a tackle after 1-3 yards. Good luck stopping any run for a loss, though.

Except I don't buy this at all. I don't thin OLinemen pickup threats like you think they do.

Only because OLinemen are dumb and don't go to the second level. Instead they double team for the sake of double teaming. Same problem with FBs.

no they do if they can see a LB 2 feet in front of them. otherwise they are not a threat so they help to double. diff run plays behave a bit diff and the line shifts can help to predict a double (though really you are safest to just bunch)

Well if you backup your LBs enough they're essentially invisible.

thats what i mean. thats why that style works. but if you play them like a "normal NFL D" then yes, the guards release pretty well to the 2nd level. its kinda always been like that, though each season's sim needs a lil tweak of scheme to adjust.

jd's style looks stupid im surprised he doesn't flat zone it wiht some DE's too!

Well...true in most cases although a lot of blitz's are pretty successful due to a LB coming from deep and not being taken account of.

Sure, but I meant ones that are going into coverage.

oh i see.
I provide an offense that spreads the legs of the defense and delivers the coconuts in a variety of ways.

I think this sim with the ease of gut running is an overreaction to the difficulties of it the past seasons. The reaction was needed, just to a much lesser degree. A fix to get it where it needs to be shouldnt be that difficult to put into place. Usually in order to find a balance you have to go goldilocks with it.

I think it was its more along the lines that they wanted to help offensive line do things instead of just get rev caked over and over again. In the process tho it overbalanced the power back to oline...but not in the intention im sure they wanted. More pancakes were needed, but now its more along the lines of a standstill in which the offense wins the push...not really a whole lot for pancakes outside of the weight/energy mishap.

[edit]Pass Blocking
Pass Blocker Tackles focus their game on blocking the pass rush. They may find that they have trouble holding back strong defenders in the run game, but they make up for it with the agility to stay in front of their man in the passing game. The Left Tackle in particular must often keep up with fast pass rushers.

(G) 6'2" - 6'5", 290-325 Lbs
(T) 6'2" - 6'6", 280-320 Lbs
Major Agility Blocking Confidence Vision (+.5)
Minor Speed Stamina Strength (+.33)
Bonus SA's (C/G) - Pass Block, Foundation
Bonus SA's (T) - Pass Block, Protector
Penalty SA's - Get Low, Pancake

So you have no clue what you are talking about. Cute.

if a team actually built a pass blocking OL, than they could give the QB time to throw the ball. Bort made more blocking effective for a reason. When I asked in the last Q&A if more blocking and less strength would hold off a stronger defender, they refused to answer...

seems like you have no clue what you are talking about this time.

Show me a team where the entire line is 150 blocking, and let's see if they have the same problem. Until than, you don't know if I am right or not until it is tried. And I am pretty sure, if an entire OL was built per the Pass Blocker Archetype guidelines with all the pass blocking SAs and VAs, they would not have any problems.

so go fix your builds

It's not like rushing offenses are piling up huge chunks of yards. The only problem is that it's very difficult to stop a run for little gain even if you devote most of the defenders to that task.

Exactly. Also, the problem is that for non-Pro leagues, rushing is overpowered aswell, while passing game is awful, so everyone is going 100% run unless there are so some of obvious pass exploit on the opp D.

I probably work more with pure pass blocking builds than any OC in this game....
