the chatter has come back somewhat with the whole rivalry thing. My teams play the same teams each season and I enjoy the friendly banter.

but I do miss the old Afrifca AA and AAA forums. Canada BBB forums were pretty fun too.

games naturally become boring.

Regardless of the sim, you cant expect people to want to keep playing a game for years. GLB held on long enough but its time to shut it down.

Last season Sim was p good but needed a few minor tweaks. Instead of minor tweak to fix the blitzes they went overboard and fucked this whole game up majorly. That being said, the game would still be boring even if the sim wasnt fucked.

Favorite Season was S25.
Just add fumble recoveries to that and it will be an improvement.
Not the best, but an improvement for sure.

Why
-QB timing was good. You could force a pass with progressions or get the timing down relatively easily.
-ST's were very reactive to builds. It really mattered what player was where.
-Ints could be returned. I agree that not every int should result in an instant return, some should have to pass a roll to see if they stay balanced or if they run a couple yards and fall, or if they fall as soon as they catch it.
-Fumbles were occurring at a decent rate, although it'd be nice if they were returnable.
-DE's could get sacks
-Outside running was moderately effective depending on scheme and the defense.
-Inside running was mediocre, could definitely have used an improvement.

I liked the season Armani Toomer was world bowl mvp and Swift Swizzle caught that Santonio Holmes'like catch.
Dear foofighter24, your hatred for the site moderation made me decide not to build a pee wee squad in season 34. That is $130 this game won't be getting. I hope the tears are worth it. The game is not dying, you are killing it.

The early seasons - back when everyone was figuring it out and, while builds mattered, there was more vareity. People were experimenting and there was a true range of player types and quality at every position, unlike now where all players are either excellent or complete crap. There isn't much build variety between those two categories, TBH. Best sim during the early days, maybe Season 6, IIRC.

We got some usable AI's sometime after that, though we couldn't specify progressions in the passing game, but it still added a whole new dimension to the game. There was still some variance in builds, though the best teams began figuring out how to really organize slow-building in earnest and it began to be applied over the next several seasons and a set of truly elite teams developed (Valhalla. was an early a notable example). Still, I had a ton of fun between seasons 11 and 13.

In more recent seasons, I'd probably go with 22-25 as being up there. Conferences were more static, as you had teams that followed "good" building and those that didn't, with few in between. Coordinators have more to work with than ever, but recruiting became a daunting task. Most of the teams that succeed are those that built together and have little turnover. That makes things a bit less fun, but that won't change easily. Part of it is that some people want to stick together (understandable) and another part is are that builds cannot be corrected if the agent didn't follow a particular cap order several seasons ago - meaning that players can't always fit with other teams. Dots are not interchangeable pieces as much as they probably should be.

The more I think about it, the more I think the elimination of ALGs will make this game a lot more fun in many respects.

Least favorite: S28, S8.

Good health is simply a slower rate of death.

S26 was probably the worst sim of all of them. The amount of rng + morale effect was a nightmare. Maybe season 8 and this season were pretty bad as far as watching slams down my throat all day, but ill take that over trying to figure out why a pass intended for my player on the left side of the field was intercepted and taken back for 6 by the corner in zone coverage all by hi,self on the right side of the field.

Yea, the seasons that had the most crazy morale swings and death spirals probably are my least favorite. No point in even gameplanning because a perfect gameplan with 1-2 bad luck plays means you'd lose by 20 which just encouraged people to not gameplan and hope for the big play to spiral them to victory

Seasons 6 and 26 were my favorites.

Season 28 has been my least favorite.
