"bad pass" in the sim PBP really refers to the pass quality being reduced. However the pass itself might be both on target and a good decision. This is especially apparent in the case when a "bad pass" actually leads a receiver perfectly on a deep throw and leads to a rare breakaway TD.

Thus I suggest renaming "bad pass" to "duck" in the PBP text, in order to give a more intuitive description of what happened.

-1 even though I think this is actually a joke suggestion

This is a real suggestion, not a joke. Maybe there's a better word than "duck" but I think "bad pass" is misleading.

Yea, I have seen a handful of "bad passes", that land right in the receivers hand. I don't even think they should be considered a "bad pass" unless they are a good distance away from the receiver.

The update from April 16th somehow added more bad passes for some reason.

perhaps "poorly thrown pass" or something?

duck just sounds bad

edit: or in some cases, "actually well thrown pass for once in a lifetime"

I think "pass under pressure" or 'pressured pass" might be more appropriate for those instances where the QB felt pressure, but still threw it accurately.

but that's not what "bad pass" is. it refers to a pass thrown with low pass quality, regardless of accuracy. it's visible in the sim when the pass is wobbly. hence, "duck"

You must be referring to "bad passes" like this one:

I'd really like to see it in 6 extra labels to tell you exactly what went wrong

Good quality pass (good rolls on both distance and direction rolls)
On target (good roll on direction roll)
Inaccurate (bad roll on direction roll)
Proper distance (good roll on distance roll)
under thrown (bad roll on distance roll)
over thrown (bad roll on distance roll)
Poor quality pass (bad rolls on both distance and direction rolls)

so you would see things like:
QB throws proper distance, inaccurate pass to WR
QB throws over thrown, on target pass to WR
QB throws good quality pass to WR

etc etc

I like the idea of this

1. Bad Pass
2. Poor Pass
3. Pass
4. Good Pass
5. Perfect Pass

of course 1 being the worst quality and 5 being the best quality

But I guarantee, everyone will start to ask for these to be logged and tracked as well... so not sure how that will play out.
Still want it though!
