Hali was good, no question, but despite their results they weren't as dominant as I would have expected a WL caliber team to be. Even though they mostly won, several teams gave them a run for their money, and a lot of teams kept it close.

But then I'm one of those guys who think that WL teams/agents/owners are the best; so I expect a lot from them.

They pay closer attention to detail and they generally have more experience figuring out how to get every drop of virtual sweat out of their dots.

I expect that it's been "lolCasual" for so long that it's hard to find similar people on the Casual side of things. It's a "small market team" sort of effect. Once people get "good enough" to compete at a WL level, they leave Casual and go to WL. As a result there just isn't enough WL level "talent" in Casual at any given time to make Casual better than WL.

So until Casual has the respect that WL has so that there are enough people in Causal that are WL caliber, you will continue to see WL be better than Casual.

3 titles in four seasons isn't dominant?

And the season we didn't win was won by Catch22's team. I'd reckon they would have done pretty well in WL themselves.

Anyway, i'm not really sure what the point of this thread is. Everyone knows that WL has the best dots (for the most part anyway, although i'd bet that most of Halifax's dots would make WL squads). If this whole thing is a reaction to Avenger trolling WLers, then good fucking game Avenger.

Because this isn't true, and I'm not just talking about Avenger.

There has always been a lot of tension between hardcore Casual pro agents and agents who prefer to put their dots in WL. With the choice by gart to move hali's top dots all over to Casual pro, we can now get a better idea of the quality of the talent in the two different leagues without having worry about the AI vs. no AI argument.

Here are the records for Hali's final three Seasons in WL:
Season 23: 12-4, loss in first round
Season 24: 9-7, loss in first round
Season 25: 4-12, demotion

So despite having a storied history in early WL, by the time they left, they had progressed from a first round loser to an almost guaranteed win for other WL teams.

Hali's four seasons in Casual Pro:
Season 26: 12-4, league champs
Season 27: 15-1, loss in second round
Season 28: perfect season, league champs
Season 29: 15-1, playing for the league championship tomorrow

So we have a team who struggled to stay in WL and eventually demoted that was able to move their dots (and dots similar to them) to Casual Pro and become what is possibly the most dominant team in that league's history. I think this is pretty good evidence that, generally, the dots on WL teams are far superior to dots on Casual Pro teams.

Saying the best players in GLB play in the WL and not casual pro is kinda stating the obvious isn't it? Also, I really fail to see how this is a valid comparison. In the WL you need coordinators, AI, gameplans, etc. In casual, you really don't. Maybe Hali was just starting to get out coached in the WL and the dots were better than their record showed?

This has never happened, tbh.

Just a thread you knew would warrant some posts.

Legit thread is legit. Besides, GLB should thank me for keeping the forums active. Without me here, the forums would be dead.

I'll bite on the troll thread

No way IMO are CasPro rosters better the WL rosters. Just is not going to ever happen and I would never claim it to be. The elitest attiude of the WL and those that strive for it will never allow it to be. All I ever say is that CasPro is typically a very entertaining and competitive (inb4notcompetitive,hali>everyone). If some of the elite dot builders would give more CasPro teams a chance, I am certain they would enjoy the experience, but that won't happen, and I am OK with that.

Just take a look through the PLFT forum and you will see thread after thread state "WL only" or "no Casual". That is fine by me and I appreciate those being open about their desires. Saves me the time of wasting my PM's in recruiting. Then sometimes I actually look at the builds that say "WL only" and since you can't troll PLFT, I just laugh quietly to myself at those that think they are elite builders looking for WL jobs when I wouldn't offer them a spot on my team in CasPro.

As far as the original thread and how that applies. LHF's logic is broken. I to Hali, but their success in CasPro is not relevant to their history in WL. They are two completely different games and there is a place for both.
