Well here I set with a pocket full of flex and an extra Rook team, and I am asking myself,

Solo?

If I do I will have a 55 man roster of dots that I do not have to recruit to put into my nat pro team in three groups on seasons 35, 36 and 37, and then to enjoy for 37 through 41.

But it will cost me about $750 scattered over next year because I do not have enough flex in hand to totally pay for the team and the existing dots I have on hand. After season 42 I would return to free agent recruiting and in spades since I would have no young dots and probably not have to buy flex for a good long time due to retirement flex.

OR

I could sit on the concept until Season 34 and then I would not have to pay a penny for it. But the team is not then fully in the pro game till Season 41, nearly two years off.

OR

I can bag it, keep my recruiting mania going on every two months and not spend another dime on GLB for a decade.

WHICH to do?

Season 30 Solo team would be alot of work for the quickest pay out. But costly. Can I justify another $750 bucks for 200 days of National Pro entertainment?

A Season 34 Solo team would be alot of work but will GLB still be here long enough for the payoff to be enjoyed? And that Season 34 only happens if I do not build dots in the meantime. Can I land enough free agents or keep enough of my network dots to float the team entirely for those four seasons? Or does the 55 arrive in time to see the flagship turn turtle and sink to Reg Pro depths?

Whereas the current free agency grind is just a huge time sink with limited returns, and frankly been there done that, its getting ye olde.

I have only two days to decide....

Yeah. I did it before and it had serious advantages.

But it was kinda lonely.

I have other teams though, for the socializating.

If money is not an option, then it will free up a lot of time!

That's the spirit, mate

As for the OP topic, I was gonna do the solo team thing too, but it just cost too much to do. So I built the spine of the team, and am recruiting the rest.

Would help you if you could get another agent to come in with you and make it a duo team instead.

As a suggestion, why not hit up Hatchetman. I'm sure he'd join up with you for the coming season.

You really think GLB will be here in 10 years?

I say go for it. If you have enough flex that you would need only 750 dollars, why not? I'd do the same if all I needed was that, but according to my calculations it would be above 2k ...

Take it from me Yello, your builds suffer. There just doesn't sem to be enough time in the day. I made 50 players for my current Pro club and they were sub-par. I wasted a lot of equipment for BTs to get them par.

But you do bring up a point. This was the first year 28.5 seasons where I had to recruit more than 1-2 players. My agents are either people I know, or agents who have played with me before. But I had a very special idea in mind for this team, which I COULD not pull off because of the tiem it takes to monitor every dot for max gain.

If you can afford it and are competent with your build strategy, you can do some really neat things solo'ing.

Just be aware that you will not be saving any time. The time you make up in recruiting will be lost training. equipping, setting tactics, and boosting 40-55 dots.
The cake is also evil.

I've had a few teams with just my own dots. The best league for this is peewee since you don't get passed by after the first season since there isn't a second season. lol

The only drawback is when you have to equip players or do anything with BTs (trade in for SP). Dumping SPs is pretty easy. You can simply set to list view and zip right through it.

Not having to recruit or worry about how many plays or stats a dot gets is truly liberating. I can see myself going to strictly having one or two teams with just my own dots on the roster sometime in the future.

i know i wish i could build a solo team. but cant afford that. But to me it would be fun to build dots specifically for my gameplan.

If you don't boost or buy CE you can do it for less than 10k flex.

Yeah the nice thing is I can give the plays/stats to whoever I want and no one can bitch about it
