Considering the % as a 1 attribute seems too overpowering to me. At lvl 32 I could have +10% chance at intercept?

Other than that, LOVE this idea. Adds more strategy by removing the randomness of the shopping store, and gives us more options wrt developing players. Bravo sir.

This is why I mentioned that there may have to be a limit to the %:

But, all things considered, would you rather have +10% chance to intercept or +5 catching? Nobody really knows how these things work expect Bort, so that's why I leave it open.

i did some brainstorming at the end of this post:

...and i see there's quite a bit of overlap with what saintedix is suggesting here.

most of the proposals out there (and the ones from this thread in particular) are great ideas... and the sheer number of proposals attests to the fact that while the new training/equipment is a huge step in the right direction, it still feels unpolished.

i applaud Bort for keeping an open mind and listening to suggestions... hopefully over the next few days, some of the better tweaks will rise to the top and can possibly implemented. i worry that we might be too far down the road for any major overhauls (like my proposal from the link above), but i guess that's the way it goes.
