How about a Coach makes a speech for a game that will boost a stat +3 for whatever he chooses. For example, Coach chooses a Strength Speech, all players get a +3 strength in the 4th Quarter or something. This may be turning this into NCAA but it makes the game realistic.

I guess I could see this as something players would have to click on some time before the game to get the bonus. This may encourage activity, but it may just piss a lot of people off that aren't on here every day.

This would be good for IF...and I repeat IF...Bort decides to use the suggestion about retired Players becoming actual Coaches in GLB for teams...could be one of their skills.

Meh, I see a gaping hole. Pep talks given to teams that are destined to be 16-0, 8-8, and 0-16, should not have the same effect. Now, if you think I just solved the problem I was trying to explain in the first place, consider that pep talks typically do less for rock bottom teams, while teams that actually have a chance to win or are just plain dominant tend to respond better to both coaching and 'pep talks'. You'd have to completely spin this around backwards for it to be feasible in GLB, or else you're left with an idea that falls into the "rich get richer" category.
Or you could ignore a realistic element in an idea that is proposed for the sake of realism, and make it so all pep talks give the same amount.. lol

How about added "Coach Tokens" to owners, kinda like the "Training Points" for players. You can use them say 4 times in the regular season only and it gives your team a +5 to In Game Moral only.

Yea I can definitely see some kind of "Coach Points" system where Coaches can alter their team's stats/performance, coming into play in the distant future, if it isn't already in the works. There's room for a whole slew of ideas for that.
