Anyone interested in us selecting an all start team? If so, here's my suggestion of how it should work to keep it fair.

1. We need vote counters
2. 1 owner or representative from each team votes.
3. Owner/rep sends vote via PM to counter. This will allow people to be honest without worrying about ridicule or hurt feelings. And yes, no matter how small something is, people will get mad about something.
4. You can't vote for someone on your own team.
5. Owners can make one post here (edit instead of adding a lot more posts and making it cluttered) to nominate and make a case for players who they think deserve recognition even if the stats don't show it.
6. Vote for one person per starting position, including Kicker, Punter, Kick Returner and Punt Returner.
7. Vote for an Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP, Special Teams MVP and an Overall MVP.
8. Vote for people within your conference. So we'll have an Alpha All Star Team and Zeta All Star Team.
9. A counter from the Zeta Conference will calculate the Alpha team and a counter from the Alpha Conference will calculate the Zeta team to avoid any concerns about ethics.
10. One player per position is selected for the All Star Team unless there is a tie and both/all players are listed.
11. To vote list out the roster positions, and next to the position put the player's full name and team name. We have to make this easy on the counters and keep them from spending too much time on this. This will also help the counter make sure that no one voted for someone from their own team.

We should probably star a thread to track the award winners for each season.

Also, a thread with the top stats in SA Pro History might be cool. If you want to handle the all-pro and awards voting, I'd be happy to take over the stats page.

Great idea to keep track of the stats, especially since Bort hasn't been able to get a records page setup yet. What stats are you looking to track? And are you looking at career (in SA Pro), season, game or all?

You do the Stats and I'll do the All Star and Awards.

Can you send me a link for the voting from last season? Sorry if I'm taking over something you were already doing. I didn't remember that. Was your setup last year a better option than this one?

I regret I forgot to do a return man of the year.

I think keeping the same awards, plus returner, and doing a conference all-pro team would be really cool.

As for stats, I was only thinking of season and maybe single game records. Career would be hard to do because of how often people change teams. Maybe we could do something for career and just trust people to be honest about what stats were earned in SA Pro and what were earned somewhere else.

Come on...no love for the Season 1 return man? My guy had a great year there! :-p

Now I remember. That would work out. We can have the conference All Star Teams (ashame we can't play an all star game) and the All League Awards like last year. Does anyone have the stats from last season? Once you get it setup, it might not be too bad, but it'll take some time to get all the stats put together the first time.

boondocksaint will be the counter from the Zeta Conference

If anyone else wants to be involved, they can count up the All League Awards. If not Havoc or I can do it.

all I gotta say is here is the TE if the year...he created him this year...and really didn't play till 5 games into the season, check these stats out

Uh so yeah if someone wants to whip up a list of all positions being considered for this that'd be cool, I'd try but I know I'd miss something or include something that we're not considering But whenever you zeta conference guys get your lists together, I'll start adding up whatever is in my inbox.
