Season 9 Final Edition
Thanks as always to the voters that contributed to this weeks poll. This has been the first season that weve actually hit the target we set for ourselves of releasing 5 weekly editions and the voting turnout was the best ever since the poll started early in Season 6.

Notes on the final rankings
A day before the ballots were due it looked like we might have our first ever unanimous decision for the #1 team in GLB, but Santiago went and lost the SAPL title game to Krazy and re-opened the door for discussion. Some voters did jump ship as the impressive late-season run by the ***Official*** Footballguys made it a race, but the Benitos still managed to hold on to the top spot. So, like last season, we ended with a #1 that did not win their league title something that doesnt sit well with some, but it is tough to argue with Santiagos Season 9 resume.
Green Bay and Las Vegas, fixtures in the top 3 all season, dropped a bit after their early exits in the USAPL playoffs and the Krazy Monkeys joined the ***O*** and San Francisco as league champs that made big jumps up the rankings. Drinkin and Dryden also slipped after stumbles in the CPL playoffs seeing Drinkin fall out of the Top 10 surprised me most. All eight league champs and the three major tourney champs made the final list.
This week, since its the final edition for the season, Ive expanded the list to rank the Top 32. Congrats to all of the teams that received votes and I know there are more out there that deserve mention, but for each voter choosing only 25 out of 256 is tough and some teams are unfortunately just going to miss out.
For comparisons sake, under each team Ive included NiborRiss RPI and Colley-Matrix scores as well as Lukins un-weighted and weighted Automated Rankings. Team record listed is the overall record for league games, major tourneys (Pro v. Pro games), and regional challenges, excluding games against mid-season guts.

coachviking - Losing in the SA title game doesn't drop them out of the top spot IMO. Havoc had a hell of a year and a crappy day 40
Hokiemon - PWT Champs, Traveling PRO trophy holders, only loss to KM on Day 40 (not enough to be dethroned from #1)
boomer82 - Harsh loss to end the season but still had an amazing season most teams would kill for.
Gmathiasf - Won the PWT. Just like MEM last season, they lost in their LC, but they're #1 for me.
NiborRis - 29-1 in non-gutted Pro Play. 7 wins vs RPI top 25. That one loss doesn't knock them out of the top spot for me.
Turnit643 - PWT Champs, own the Pro Traveler, only stumble was in the SAPL title v. Krazy. Still Season 9's best

coachviking - Congrats Duff and Hulk Hell of a team and crazy comeback
Hokiemon - USAPL Champs, sick playoff run to get the Gold, as well as #2 in Hazy's and Elite 8 in PWT
boomer82 - Made some very smart choices early in the season and really put together a great end of the season run. Glad to see Duff get a title on his way out.
Gmathiasf - Can't argue with the way they finished the season. Without a doubt, the most impressive playoff run of the season. Possibly in the history of the game. Won USA. Runners-up in Hazy's. Elite 8 in PWT.
NiborRis - No one has more wins over quality teams, or a harder overall schedule. A great success for Duff's last season at the helm.
Turnit643 - Incredible run to the USAPL title. 2nd in Hazy's. Took down some serious teams along the way.

Gmathiasf - Got a nice Pro Gold to go with those 5 Pro silvers.
NiborRis - Several good wins - Santiago, SFSF, LOL - and only 3 losses gets them the SAPL Gold and into my top 5.
Turnit643 - Ruined Santiago's perfect season as they finally took down their nemesis in the SAPL Finals.
james128 - Slap Champions. Only Team this season that figured out the Benitos

linker - Survived the gauntlet that is USAPL playoffs, getting some great wins along the way, just couldn't pull out the championship in OT.
coachviking - Freaking close again but lost in OT
Hokiemon - Loss in the USAPL title game, otherwise top 3 for sure
boomer82 - A heartbeat, a BIG HEARTbeat away from their first USAPL Title. Maybe next year.
Gmathiasf - Won USA West. Final 4 in Hazy's.
NiborRis - Another USA West trophy in the case.
Turnit643 - Appearances in Hazy's F4 and the USAPL Championship cap another great season for MEM.
james128 - Really tough over time lost in the USA Pro Final...

Gmathiasf - Won Hazy's. Tremendous overall resume.
NiborRis - Weakest loss is to the Wolfpack, and they got at least 1 win against every team that beat them except for Green Bay.
Turnit643 - Won Hazy's, reached USAPL F4. Played a great schedule this season and belong in the Top 5.

linker - 16-0 in USAPL, but faltered in the playoffs against a very good OFG team by one point.
coachviking - Losing in round 2 and the not playing scrims keeps them out of the top 3
Hokiemon - Lack of any scrim games and an early exit in the playoffs drags them out of the top 5
boomer82 - Played ***O*** closer than anyone not named Monmouth in the playoffs. Sad to see them go.
Gmathiasf - So hard to slot a team that may be the best in the game, but biggest accomplishment at the end of the season is a USA final 8.
NiborRis - 16-0 in the regular season and I ranked 4th out of their own conference. USAPL East was STACKED this season. Needed more quality wins to make my top 5. Highest rated team on my list without some piece of hardware for the season to show for it.
Turnit643 - Disappointing end to an otherwise dominant season and dominant team. They'll be missed.

Hokiemon - Great scrim resume, also TOC champs and former PRO traveling trophy holder
boomer82 - Winners of the Tournament of Champions, another team with a huge amount of quality wins. Sad to see Hazy leave the ownership ranks.
Gmathiasf - Won the TOC. Another ridiculous resume.
NiborRis - One early season loss to the Royals is about all that separates them from the Shockers in my book.
Turnit643 - TOC Champs, incredible tourney schedule, had the Traveler for a short while. Hazy can go out with pride.
9 . ( 8 ) Washington Wolfpack (USAPL) 406

linker - Go the the Conference championship in USAPL, while compiling a very nice regular season and scrimm record.
coachviking - Great team, always will be among the contenders for a title
Hokiemon - USAPL regular season champs, Hazy final 4, some impressive scrim wins along the way
boomer82 - Once again Painmaker & co. put together quite the quality dotball squad.
Gmathiasf - Hazy's final 4. USA final 4. Great team.
Turnit643 - Part of insanely tough USAPL West. Reg seas title there tells you what you need to know about this team.
10 . ( 10 ) Marblehead Longhorns (CPL) 382

linker - Made it to the CPL championship, while compiling a 15-1 regular season record.
Hokiemon - CPL final loss left them with nothing to show for what was an otherwise great season
boomer82 - 2nd season in a row they didn't quite win the Mountie Bowl. CPL's version of Monmouth?
Gmathiasf - So close.
Turnit643 - Outstanding season, one more win and this is a Top5 team.
11 . ( 6 ) Honolulu Hurricane Warriors (USAPL) 359

linker - Have been on fire lately aside from the loss to MEM(who made it to the championship). Made it to the PWT final as well.
Hokiemon - #2 in PWT, turned it on late in the reg season before an early exit in playoffs
boomer82 - Hot streak came to an end against Monmouth & Santiago. Still one of the best teams in all of GLB.
Gmathiasf - PWT runners up.
NiborRis - just 1 or 2 key games away from being top 5 this season
Turnit643 - Great D, fun to watch a team that does it a bit different.

NiborRis - Solid all season until tripping over their own AI.
Turnit643 - Second place finishes in CPL and the TOC. Long win streak snapped, but this is a Top 10 team.

Hokiemon - EEPL gold, beat up in an insane scrim schedule though

Gmathiasf - I expect them to make the next jump next season.
NiborRis - Played one of the hardest schedules in the game; not quite in the top 10 tier yet.
james128 - League is Weak but they will play anyone

Hokiemon - OPL gold, otherwise an avg season
boomer82 - Pretty damn good team was a little lacking on the schedule this season. Great win over MUV for the OPL 'Ship.
Gmathiasf - Finally got a quality win! Still a good team though. Somewhat quiet season for them in a terrible OPL Alpha.
Turnit643 - OPL Champs, got the big win at the end over very tough Mata-Utu.

Hokiemon - Late season losses in the PWT elite 8 and Hazy's elite 8, as well as conference title game...oh what could've been

NiborRis - Still the best APL team, although others are catching up
james128 - Despite not winning APL they are who i think of when i think of APL

Turnit643 - Another elite team closes up shop. Congrats to Asheme's Blues on a fine season.

NiborRis - Played in the insanely tough USAPL East and got a home playoff game. Could fill the upcoming power void in the Conference next season and make the jump to the top 10.

linker - Made it to second round of USAPL playoffs beating Texas, but they faltered against WW. A definite team to watch next season.
boomer82 - Probably the best special teams unit in the game, will be interesting to see how they fare with the new roster limit.

boomer82 - Turned the corner to become a damn good team this season, hoping they make another leap next season.
Turnit643 - Got a bunch of votes, but all falling at the end of the list keep the Yokels down for now. A repeat performance next season and they'll get a solid hold on the top 25.

Gmathiasf - Won the PWT. Just like MEM last season, they lost in their LC, but they're #1 for me.
NiborRis - 29-1 in non-gutted Pro Play. 7 wins vs RPI top 25. That one loss doesn't knock them out of the top spot for me.
Turnit643 - PWT Champs, own the Pro Traveler, only stumble was in the SAPL title v. Krazy. Still Season 9's best

Gmathiasf - Can't argue with the way they finished the season. Without a doubt, the most impressive playoff run of the season. Possibly in the history of the game. Won USA. Runners-up in Hazy's. Elite 8 in PWT.
NiborRis - No one has more wins over quality teams, or a harder overall schedule. A great success for Duff's last season at the helm.
Turnit643 - Incredible run to the USAPL title. 2nd in Hazy's. Took down some serious teams along the way.

boomer82 - Played ***O*** closer than anyone not named Monmouth in the playoffs. Sad to see them go.
Gmathiasf - So hard to slot a team that may be the best in the game, but biggest accomplishment at the end of the season is a USA final 8.
NiborRis - 16-0 in the regular season and I ranked 4th out of their own conference. USAPL East was STACKED this season. Needed more quality wins to make my top 5. Highest rated team on my list without some piece of hardware for the season to show for it.
Turnit643 - Disappointing end to an otherwise dominant season and dominant team. They'll be missed.

Turnit643 - Outstanding season, one more win and this is a Top5 team.

NiborRis - just 1 or 2 key games away from being top 5 this season

Gmathiasf - Finally got a quality win! Still a good team though. Somewhat quiet season for them in a terrible OPL Alpha.
