I think that making players wait all the way until day 1 is a little rough considering how hard it is to find a job at some positions and the fact that some owners don't even have their teams yet.

Agents waiting for teams.Those teams are still being handed out.Untill there is an Official word from Bort.All Drafted Players are to be patient and also wait for the Announcement from Bort on this.If you already signed the date stamp will prove it and not a problem.

I agree. Day 1 is late. If they can't afford to sign someone on the rollover at least the player shouldn't be penalized. What if I don't get offered the contract? Say someone signed their own player instead and they just don't say anything? I understand it's far fetched but it's a possible scenario.

Personally, if my players are still hanging around without a team before the rollover, I'm going to retire them. Right now they aren't boosted (I wasn't going to boost them unless they found a team they were just going to be retired to get the flex back), but I will boost as soon as I am signed for Season 9. I'll be 3 levels behind without boosting and therefore would rather just retire my player.

Especially without communication from the team that they are waiting. Most of the teams were handed out today according to Bort's announcement.

Communication is important player should contact their drafted team and the team should contact the player.Like this all know whats going on.

Example: I posted my draft class and added a note all contracts will be sent out by Day 1.

Well....the New Bedford owner drafted Rodney Harrison, Jr and hasn't contacted me. But that guy's a slacker I hear
