and if they were all on 0 what were they playing beforehand?

They were on Close...but just looking at the slider there was no way of knowing if 0 was exactly the same as the old "close", nor was it possible to even know whether with the slider all the settings were simply set to 0 as a default. Stranger things have happened. I checked several players and they were all on 0, so I came in to ask the question, which you answered with insults AND wrong answers.

Sorry Shane. I agree that more information would be nice, but I don't think it's coming. I'm hoping that it's exactly what it looks like.

On the other hand, whining about "Far too litte (sic) info on the pass coverage distance slider" in your subject header, when what you actually wanted was a simple bit of detail 98% of GLB users don't give a fig about, is hyperbolic at best.

Why don't you just say, "Oh look, a new toy. Let's use the scrims to test it out" instead of expecting to have everything handed to you on a silver platter.

I've never asked for the chance to look under the hood here, but its pretty hard to argue that I was out of line in suggesting we weren't getting any information. The communication here is shit - there are worse examples than the coverage slider, but its a potentially-problematic change to the game that was made with zero accompanying information.

it's self explanatory imho

how far back do you want your defender to play?

move bar left or right until it corresponds with how far back you want to play

So everyone feel comfortable that -100 = stick to your man like glue (the old close) and -33 = medium and +66 = far...

If this is the case then we are able to deduce that...

Slide | Coverage Distance
-100 = 0yd
-66 = 1yd
-33 = 2yds
0 = 3yds
+33 = 4yds
+66 = 5yds
+100 = 6yds

Agree?

4 games isnt enough????
Man UP dude

A) its 3 games.

B) we have no way of knowing what settings were *actually* used in a game.

A) WATCH PBP!!! Set game one close, WATCH PBP TO SEE WHERE YOUR DOT LINES UP, do new setting game 2, WATCH PBP.....

B) if you cant watch PBP in 3 games and figure it out, quit.

C) Do you need a hug?

Since bort says PBP can be off five yards, AND he has repeated over and over that PBP is not an accurate representation of the sim.

So how do you figure it out?

LOL...I just looked at the tactics and see that they added an automatic calculator which shows you the yards.

BOOM HEADSHOT!

Yeah, -100 is the old close, -33 is the old medium, and +66 is the old far. I don't know who will actually want to use +100, but I figured might as well go one more yard if I'm adding options.
