Well, virtually no surprises in the first round with the favorite advancing in every match. (#5 Rio de Janeiro Carnales beat the #4 Auburn She-Man Haters in a nail biter but both teams were pretty evenly matched.)

The big shocker was the #8 Barranquilla Cartel nearly taking out the #1 Montevideo Stores! The Stores have dominated in the regular season, but looked oh so shaky in their playoff debut barely pulling out a 20-13 win

Some credit to #6 Walsh's Legends almost pulling off the upset vs the #3 Porto Alegre Smugglers but Porto scored with 6 minutes left to take the lead 27-24. The Legends did manage to drive back and attempt a game tying field goal from the 16 yard line in an attempt to force OT, but the Legend kicker shanked the 30 yard field goal attempt. I'd hate to be him tonight...

Cartel winning would have been a insane upset. I was surprised when I saw that score.

Walsh's kicker was known as 'The Kicker' but he's earned a new nick-name now. His first name is now 'Norwood'. That has to suck and Walsh deserved better.

Carnales are excited to be taking on the Stores. They owned us earlier this season (22 to 0) in a turnover-plagued game but in a one-game playoff, you never know.

Gonna be fun.

We feel good about the Cartel going into Season 3 with respectable losses the last 2 games to the Fire and Stores. A 7-point loss to the Stores is quite an improvement from the 31-0 blowout that the put on us earlier in the season. Lol.

Watch out for the Cartel next season and good luck to all in the remainder of the playoffs!!

I saw that my kicker was sitting on 98 energy after the game LOL so I knew we had to have been blown out pretty bad.

All kidding aside.. we played them twice this year. although it was a closer game the 1st time.. 26-3.. we didnt really expect to win either game.. But the 2nd time around we did some stuff we normally would never do just to see if we could throw out an upset, it would of probably been a better game if we just left it alone and did the same strategy.. but hey we know what not to do now that we tried it.

There is more to it then that though. Dont think Santiago would like it if i just blurted stuff out on the threads.
