This is exactly what I was thinking so thats why I want his agility doubled so that is a nice number to compare.

DB, did you leave energy on? My guy with 300 speed was generally moving between 6.5 and 8 according to the vector output. A 300 speed guy will use energy pretty damn fast.

wait, you are saying the faster your guy is, the more energy he wastes?

he gets to run around a lot more, and make more cuts and stuff, so yeah. Especially at 300 speed...the guy's going to be doing all the cuts for his route really fast, and completing it.

how much energy after one play, on average would a 300 speed WR lose?

Don't know off the top of my head without doing the math, and it depends on his route. 5-15 maybe?

acceleration in agility sucks Bort. pl0x make another attribute other than agility, called acceleration. that, imo is part of the reason why some WRs and HBs are so dominant

so, energy isn't just formulated after each play? it depends on their routes? that would make sense, but i never really thought of that.

I think this is a pretty good example of what is happening regards the OP, with of course, less speed.

The WR obviously gets separation, but has to slow down to catch the pass, in which time, the CB has time to somewhat catch up.

Not quite; it's a scale starting at about 1 for the minimum. So, if a 100 speed guy can go somewhere around 3, that's a difference of 2 from the minimum. 200 = ~5, 300 = ~7, etc.

Maybe bullet passing would help?

That's what I've been trying to articulate, but pictures speak louder than words. If the QB can't lead the player enough, he's gotta slow down to go to where the ball is going to be.

I agree, I'm starting to believe that the lack of deep passing offenses is completely related to there not being any great deep passing QBs. There's rarely a deep ball that doesn't require some sort of course correction. You basically need insane values at strength, throwing, and vision.

Maybe we should have a lead slider for QBs?

ya but any WR that has enough agility, speed to get seperation it wouldn't matter. even if the QB underthrows him a little bit and he has to slow down, he already torched the CB, and by the time the CB catches up his agility (acceleration) would kick back on and he is off and running again.

there really needs to be a seperate attribute between agil/accel

If that's the case, the question that needs to be asked is...is it possible to make a great deep passing QB?

what would be the point of having the slider on underthrow?

vision? i'd rather have the QB make a read and do what's best for that play. some of the sliders / settings end up hurting players because they get locked into one type of run/pass/tackle/etc when in reality you want it to be situational.

WRs can run faster than QBs can throw the ball? lol
