1) Disclaimer
This guide is intended to help first time peewee owners, who are looking for guidance.
I understand the majority of peewee teams and there coaching staff already know all this stuff. Therefore if you picked up something useful great, if not flame away!

Furthermore, this guide represents the build designs, tactics and methods used by a select few. It is in no way meant to be the ‘PERFECT’ or ‘ONLY’ way to build. If you like it and wish to adopt it, great! If you have a better way that’s fine go with that. Having said that if I have missed something, or you have an alternate way of doing something [that’s more efficient/effective than what I have here] let me know and I’ll adjust the build guide and give you the credit.

2) Sprint Building:
The key concept to grasp is that building players for Peewee (Sprint Building) is vastly different to normal building or even slow building. You are not building for the long term, most good peewee players are only ever meant to be ‘one and done’ players, or accept they may need a season or two for their build to recover after peewee [as opposed to going the D-League route], as such you are looking for early results and a balanced build much earlier than usual. Having said all this, you will still want to take advantage of the soft caps when and where possible.

3) Player Creation:
Peewee Players should NOW be created on Day 40 [after rollover has finished between Day39/Day40]. This ensures they will have ZERO (0) XP which is the latest rule for Pee Wee players. By making them on Day41 you will have more training points then players created on Day 0 or during the preseason, however the difference will be marginal (the intended consequence of Bort's change) so realistically players can be made any time during the offseason/preseason.

4) Signing Contracts
Signing early to D-League after Day 32 is no longer applicable with the new Zero XP player rules. As such players made on/after Day40 should just wait to be signed by there Pee Wee teams on Day42-45.

5) Boosting
DO NOT Boost your player until just before Playoffs (Day31) unless asked by your team owner, and even then it should only be a select few players (i.e. 1 of your 3 HB’s).

6) Equipment:
Equipment should not be bought until you are signed onto your respective peewee team. This is so that you have cash available to train over Bort’s increasingly long off-season’s. Also peewee teams are flooded with cash, so any good peewee team will sign you with a maximum bonus and salary when signing as well as a substantial equipment fund to take care of all your players equipment needs.

Once you are signed you should buy and equip your equipment as soon as possible, making sure to keep all your equipment in one attribute to get the most advantage out of it early on [its generally accepted that you put it in your positions primary or secondary attribute].

7) Training
There are schools of thought when it comes to training, Intense Training (used for its better gains, and additional benefits the Bonus tokens provide), and Normal Training used to get a primary attribute to its highest possible point before regular season games start [often allowing you to come very close to hitting the 1st cap of your primary attribute after assigning your players initial 15 Special Points].

The most popular is Intense Training, as the 1 Special Point and +5 Boost for tough regular season games prove extremely attractive. I would only use Normal Training for certain positions (discussed in the Position Build Section).

8) Assigning The Initial 15 Special Points
Agents should not assign their players Initial 15 Special Points until just before their first regular season game [Day 1 – Day 2, depending on your League]. The reason for this is it allows training efforts to be maximized in the offseason and preseason.

Additionally agents should check their team draw/schedule, as it is often the case to get a CPU Team or extremely weak Human/CPU hybrid team in the 1st game, as such you could probably hold onto your SP’s and maximize train efforts for another 2 days [though you should confirm this strategy with your team owner, and appropriate coordinator [OC/DC] first to make sure this is safe].

9) An Early Word About Special Attributes (SA’s)
DO NOT put Special Points (SP’s) into SA’s during your peewee career. They will rarely work if at all at this level. You will be far better served putting those SP’s into your primary and secondary attributes to make your build better.

10)Position Builds, Heights, Weights, and Equipment
OFFENSE
QB (Passing) – (For a short yardage, quick hit passing game)
Height = I generally prefer a 6’5 QB, but 6-0 to 6’5 is acceptable if the roll is great.
Weight = Anything between 190-215lbs. You don’t want him to light, or to slow.
Roll = Try to get a roll with 18-20+ in Throwing.
Equipment = Either in your Primary Attribute (Throwing) or Secondary Attribute (Vision) is fine. Most go with vision, as they have been training up throwing, and will soon be dumping SP’s into throwing. Although there’s no right and wrong choice between the two key attributes, it’s just an individual preference. Possibly split regular and custom between the two.
Build = (this one’s very subjective and every one on GLB will have their own way! ...here’s mine).
From their Intense Train Throwing/Vision till the regular season, then just before your first game dump your SP’s into Throwing. Proceed to 1st cap [48] Throwing with any additional SP’s, whilst training Vision/Confidence. After 1st capping Throwing, move to 1st cap Vision (or at least get to around 40ish), whilst training Confidence/Stamina. Once Vision is at an acceptable level move on to putting about 10-15 SP’s each in Confidence (whilst Normal Training strength to get it up fast) and Strength.
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Throwing 55-65 (depending on regular and custom equipment)
Vision 40-50
Confidence 25-40
Strength 20-30

[Note: This short term build is meant to take advantage of the short to medium passing game, and quick hit routes, which are most popular with successful passing/balanced peewee teams].

QB (Rushing) –(Outside Rusher [not meant for heavy contact up the guts])
Height = 6-0 to 6’3 your don’t want your speedy QB too tall [makes them to big of a target and a touch slower IMO]
Weight = Anything between 180-215lbs. You don’t want him to slow.
Roll = Try for a high roll in either Vision or Stamina (18+), you really shouldn’t need throwing as most good teams carry one of each QB.
Equipment = SPEED, SPEED and MOAR SPEED. Both for Custom and Regular Equipment.
Build =
This is one of those ‘Special Builds’ where I go the Normal Training route as I want to get Speed trained up as high as possible by the time the 1st Regular season game rolls around [and given the fact that the QB’s highest speed roll will only be a 10, he’ll have his work cut out for him, hence the normal training]. If you want to go the Intense Route that’s fine just train Speed/Agility. Just before the 1st Regular season game dump your Initial 15 SP’s into Speed, from here dump every point your ever get during your peewee season into speed (I know others will talk about agility, vision, carrying, stamina...etc), if your OC knows when and how to use you all you will EVER need is SPEED!!! Whilst dumping points into speed (for the whole season) Intense Train Agility/Vision (you should be able to train these up to 20-30ish by the end of the season).
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Speed 75-85 (depending on regular and custom equipment)
Agility 20-25
Vision 20-25

HB – (Power HB) [Note: I’m not from the Carrying school of HB’s]
Height = 5’11 to 6’3
Weight = Anything between 200-220lbs.
Roll = Strength 16-18+ (will take a 15/16 Strength with a 15+ speed).
Equipment = Custom in Strength, 1st set of regular equipment in Speed (until you get SP’s into speed later in the build, at which point buy a second set of Regular Equipment and put in Strength. This helps to compensate for the Power Backs initial lack of speed.
Build =
Intense Train Strength/Carrying until Day 1 (you can also break off Intense Training in the last few days before the regular season starts and just Normal Train Strength in order to get it up to 25-30ish before dumping SP’s into it at the start of the season). After assigning your Initial 15 Special Points to Strength you should begin to Intense Train Speed/Agility (or even Speed/Stamina if you prefer [you won’t need more than 15-20 stamina total though]). Dump all your SP’s into Strength till you hit the Second Cap [61], then start dumping points into Speed (to hit the First Cap [48]), whilst dumping points in speed intense Train Agility/Stamina [if you didn’t already train it as part of Speed/Stamina] or Agility/Vision if Stamina is high enough.
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Strength 70-80 (depending on regular and custom equipment)
Speed 45-50
Agility 20-25
Carrying 20ish

HB – (Speed HB)
Height = 5’10 to 6’3
Weight = Anything between 180-220lbs.
Roll = Speed 18+ (will take a 15/16 Speed with a 15+ agility).
Equipment = Custom + Regular Equipment in Speed
Build =
Day 31 till Day 0/1 – Intense Train Speed/Agility. Just before the 1st Regular Season game assign your Initial 15 Special Points to Speed. Dump SP’s from leveling up into speed until you hit the 2nd Cap for Speed [61], whilst simultaneously training Agility/Vision. After hitting the 2nd Cap with Speed, dump SP’s into Agility till you Hit the 1st Cap [48], you have multiple training options at this point – you can do Vision/Confidence, or Strength/Carrying or Confidence/Stamina ...it’s a personal choice but all will help with reducing fumbles [not that you really need to worry about fumbling much, or having high carrying to cover it at this level].
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Speed 70-80 (depending on regular and custom equipment)
Agility 40-50
Vision 20ish

HB – (Hybrid/Scat Back HB)
Height = 5’10 to 6’3
Weight = Anything between 180-210lbs.
Roll = Speed 18+ (will take a 15/16 Speed with a 15+ agility).
Equipment = Custom + Regular Equipment in Speed
Build =
Day 31 till Day 0/1 – Intense Train Speed/Agility. Just before the 1st Regular Season game assign your Initial 15 Special Points to Speed. Dump SP’s from leveling up into speed until you hit the 2nd Cap for Speed [61], whilst simultaneously training Catching/Carrying. After hitting the 2nd Cap with Speed, dump 10-15 SP’s into Catching to bring it up to around [25-30], whilst training Agility/Vision. Once Catching is around 30ish, dump remaining SP’s into Agility to bring it as close as possible to the 1st Cap [48], whilst Intense Training Jumping/Vision or Vision/Confidence.
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Speed 75ish (depending on regular and custom equipment)
Agility 40-48
Catching 25-30ish
Carrying 15-20ish
Vision 20ish

FB – (Blocking FB - Traditional)
Height = 5’10 to 6’3
Weight = Anything between 220-250lbs.
Roll = Strength 20+ (with a decent roll to Blocking [15+])
Equipment = Custom + Regular Equipment in Speed [Alternatively Equip could be placed in Strength, but I feel it’s better served in Speed].
Build =
Day 31 till Day 0/1 – Intense Train Strength/Blocking. Day 0/1 assign Initial 15 SP’s to Strength, train Blocking/Agility whilst dumping SP’s from leveling up into Strength until you hit the 2nd Cap [61]. After 2nd Capping Strength 1st Cap Blocking, whilst training Agility/Vision (alternatively at this point you can train Speed/Agility, Agility/Stamina, Speed/Stamina or Vision/Confidence).
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Strength 65ish
Blocking 48-50
Speed 25-45 (depending on regular and custom equipment, and final training route chosen)
Agility 20-30

FB – (Blocking FB – Strength/Speed)
Height = 5’10 to 6’3
Weight = Anything between 220-250lbs.
Roll = Strength 20+ (with a decent roll to Blocking [15+])

Build =
Day 31 till Day 0/1 – Intense Train Strength/Blocking. Day 0/1 assign Initial 15 SP’s to Strength, train Speed/Agility whilst dumping SP’s from leveling up into Strength until you hit the 2nd Cap [61]. After 2nd Capping Strength 1st Cap Speed, whilst training Blocking/Agility.
Alternatively you could 1st Cap Strength [48]/2nd Cap Speed [61] if you are planning on using this FB more rushing than blocking, or if your team runs far outside a lot.
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Strength 65ish
Blocking 25-35
Speed 60-65 (depending on regular and custom equipment, and final training route chosen)
Agility 20-30
Alternate:
Strength 50ish
Blocking 25-35
Speed 70-80 (depending on regular and custom equipment, and final training route chosen)
Agility 20-30

Height = 5’10 to 6’3
Weight = Anything between 220-250lbs.
Roll = Agility 20+
Equipment = Custom + Regular Equipment in Speed
Build =
Day 31 till Day 0/1 – Intense Train Catching/Carrying. Day 0/1 assign Initial 15 SP’s to Catching , train Speed/Agility [till agility is about 28-30ish] then dump any SP’s saved/built up from leveling up into Agility until you hit the 1st Cap [48], whilst Normal Training Speed [Speed/Stamina if you want the Bonus Tokens, but Normal Training will get Speed up faster before you dump points in]. After 1st Capping Agility, 1st Cap Speed whilst training Vision/Confidence. Split any remaining SP’s between Catching/Carrying/Jumping/Vision/Agility/Speed as per your preferences.
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Speed 60-65 (depending on regular and custom equipment)
Agility 50ish
Catching 30ish
Carrying 20-25
Jumping 15-25
Vision 20-25

After hitting the 2nd Cap with Speed, dump SP’s into Agility till you Hit the 1st Cap [48], whilst training Catching/Jumping [or Catching/Carrying, Catching/Vision].
Note: this WR will have very little catching for the first part of the season, but he’s meant to be a ‘Burner’ not a possession WR, you can dump a couple of points into catching early on if your team needs/wants to pass early on.
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Speed 70-80 (depending on regular and custom equipment)

Day 31 to Day 0/1 Intense Train Speed/Agility, Day 0/1 Assign Initial 15 SP’s to Agility. Whilst leveling up assign SP’s to Agility until you hit the 1st Cap [48] whilst Intense Training Speed/Tackling. After 1st Capping Agility, 1st Cap [48] Speed whilst Intense Training Strength/Tackling. Once you have Capped Speed at [48], Split SP’s between Tackling and Strength bringing both up to around [40], whilst training Jumping/Vision. Dump any remaining SP’s into Vision
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Speed 60-65 (depending on regular and custom equipment)
Agility 50ish
Tackling 40ish
Strength 40ish
Vision 20ish

FS – Coverage/Last Man
Height = 6’0 to 6’3 (the taller the better)
Weight = 185-195lbs
Roll = Speed 19 (with a decent roll in Vision [14+])
Equipment = Custom + Regular Equipment in Speed
Build =
Day 31 to Day 0/1 Intense Train Speed/Agility, Day 0/1 Assign Initial 15 SP’s to Speed. Whilst leveling up assign SP’s to Speed until you hit the 2nd Cap [61] whilst Intense Training Agility/Vision. After 2nd Capping Speed, 1st Cap [48] Agility whilst Intense Training Strength/Tackling. Dump any remaining SP’s into Tackling.
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Speed 70-75 (depending on regular and custom equipment)
Agility 50ish
Vision 20-25
Tackling 15-20
Strength 15

FS – Run Support/Hybrid
Height = 6’0 to 6’3 (the taller the better)
Weight = 200+lbs
Roll = Speed 19 (with a decent roll in Tackling [14+])
Tackling 25-30
Strength 20ish
Vision 15-20

SS –
Height = 6’0 to 6’4
Weight = 210 to 220lbs
Roll = Speed 18+ (with a decent roll in Tackling [14+])
Tackling 25-30
Strength 20ish
Vision 15-20

K – (Dual kicker/Punter)
Height = 6’0 to 6’2
Weight = 170+lbs
Roll = Kicking 26+ (with a decent roll in Confidence or Vision [14+])
Equipment = Custom + Regular Equipment in Kicking
Build =
Day 31 to Day 0/1 Intense Train Kicking/Vision, Day 0/1 Assign Initial 15 SP’s to Kicking. Whilst leveling up assign SP’s to Kicking until you hit the 2nd Cap [61] whilst Intense Training Vision/Confidence. After 2nd Capping Kicking, 1st Cap [48] Vision whilst Intense Training Punting/Confidence. Once Vision is at the 1st Cap, bring Confidence up to the 1st Cap [48] whilst Intense Training Strength/Punting. Dump any remaining points into Strength.
[Alternatively you could take Kicking to the 3rd Cap if you wish and reduce the other attribute accordingly].
(Note: If you team scores a lot of points you should be able to reach level 16-17 in one season due to increased XP gains; meaning you will have extra SP’s to meet the targets listed here).

This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-
Kicking 70-75 (depending on regular and custom equipment)
Vision 50ish
Confidence 48-50
Strength 20-25
Punting 15-20

P – You Don’t Need One!
With the introduction of the 55 man cap, and combined with the fact a Punter rarely gets used on Good Peewee Teams, you really don’t need a punter. Just use a dual K/P as they level up extremely fast and will have more than enough SP’s to cover both. Also the additional roster spot you free up (either for O or D, I prefer an extra CB, LB) may make the difference in some games.

(If you must have one)
Height = 6’0 to 6’2
Weight = 170+lbs
Roll = Punting 26+ (with a decent roll in Confidence or Vision [14+])
Equipment = Custom + Regular Equipment in Punting
Build =
Day 31 to Day 0/1 Intense Train Punting/Strength, Day 0/1 Assign Initial 15 SP’s to Punting. Whilst leveling up assign SP’s to Punting until you hit the 3rd Cap [68] whilst Intense Training Vision/Confidence. After 3rd Capping Kicking, Split SP’s between Vision and Confidence taking both to around 30-35, whilst Intense Training Strength/Jumping. Once Confidence and Vision are around 35-40 dump all remaining SP’s into Strength.
(Note: Punters will have a lot of trouble getting XP’s on good teams, and are too big a weakness to play ST’s, which is why I’d advise using a dual K/P instead).
This should give you a build of roughly (by playoffs):-

Punting 79-85 (depending on regular and custom equipment)
Confidence 30-35
Vision 30-35
Strength 20-30ish

Thanks, its not perfect yet (there will undoubtedly be flaws somewhere that will need to be fixed), but hopefully the Peewee Community will have some good suggestions/upgrades for it.

I just noticed we didn't really have a peewee specific guide or anything much for the new owners.

Wow, yeah a lot of good stuff for owners struggling in this guide. A lot of it Short Bus uses. There is a couple of things different but 80 percent is dead on.

I have a private forum that's not being used and was thinking of doing something similiar. If your interested in running it Thunder your more than welcome to use it and name it something like Pee Wee training school or something like that. I planned on doing it when I got bored with pee wees. We can have owners inputs as well on things like you mentioned, stopping the QB run, best plays etc. I get so any pms from people in peewee wanting to join my team as a gm to see how we do it. I am opposed to showing everything in the AI but I dont mind helping teams that need help for this and that.
