There has to be a way when a players team goes CPU and signs with another team, for the site to see how many games the player has played vs the number of games left for the new team, if the 2 equal 16, the player should be allowed on the DC immediately, if over that then yes, they should wait until after the next game to maintain no more than 16.
I have signed two LB'ers in the last couple of days from the same CPU team who's game was even and mine is odd, so those 2 players miss a game just because they happen to sign after the're 3 and 4th games but before my 4th and 5th games respectfully, missing a game of XP.

I didn't know this thread was here so I started a new thread and it was closed. Here is my suggestion:
Why not count each 2-day period as a "weekend" and only allow players to play 1 game per "weekend". For example:
Day 1 & 2 = Weekend 1
Day 3 & 4 = Weekend 2
etc, etc, etc
This way, if a player plays on day 4 and then signs with a team that plays on day 5, they can still play in that day 5 game. However, if they play a day 3 game and then sign with a day 4 team, they won't be able to play that game.
This would allow all players who switch teams to make sure they can play 16 games in a season.
I think setting up 2 day "weekends" would be the best approach.

Uh. The first regular season game is played on day 1/2. The second game is played on day 3/4.
Simple solution: when a player plays a game, give them a "do not play" flag. Every even night at midnight, remove all "do not play" flags. Whether you get traded or not, you can't play in a regular season game as long as you have a do not play flag.
This is effectively the same as the weekend idea, but it's in terms that would be easier (for me) to code.

It shouldn't be that hard to do if( player->query_games_played() > team->query_games_played() ) { sorry_cannot_add_to_depth(); } else { ok_to_add_to_depth(); }
